I hate to see you cry

Lilly:
I just woke up and walked to the bathroom.
I put my hair up in a messy bun and washed my face.
I started to do my makeup when I heard that Calum was waking up.
He walked in to the bathroom.
I turned around and hugged him.
"Are you alright babe?" He asked in a deep raspy voice.
I nodded.
"You scared me last night. Promise me that you'll never do something like that again." He said.
I nodded and looked him in the eye.
I saw a single tear in the corner of his eye.
I wiped it away with the sleeve of the sweater I was wearing.
He started sobbing, I never thought I would see Calum cry.
I leaned against the counter.
Calum's head was leaning against my shoulder while tears made their way down his cheeks.

"Shh... you'll be alright. I'm sorry I'm a bad girlfriend. You deserve better."

He looked up at me.
"Don't say that,... it's not true. You are the best girlfriend I've ever had. I love you."

"I'm going to work at the studio today... Are you coming with me?"
I shook my head.
He looked at me. I could see that he was scared.

"I'm not going to do something... I promise." I said and kissed his cheek.

"Can you give them to me?"

I walked into the bedroom and took the little box out of the drawer of my nightstand.
I handed him the little box.

"Are these all of them?"
I nodded my head.
I was still feeling dizzy but I didn't tell Calum.
He would be too concerned about me and he wouldn't be able to focus on his writing.

My phone fell out of my back pocket. I bend down to pick it up. When I tried to stand up again I had the feeling that I was going to faint, so I grabbed Calum's wrist.
I leaned against his chest until the feeling went away.

"Are you alright?"
I nodded. "I just got up to fast."
He checked his phone.
"Babe, I have to go now, see you tonight okay."
I nodded.
He placed a quick kiss on my lips and ran to the front door.

About 2 hours later someone knocked on the door.
I opened it and saw my "friends" standing there.
I closed it again and ran back to the living room
I took a seat on the couch and stared at the wall. I stood up but as soon as I was standing on my legs it turned pitch black in front of my eyes.

Calum:
I was sitting at my desk trying to focus on the lyrics in front of me. My thoughts kept drifting off to Lilly. If I walked in to her room 1 hour later she would have died, she would have committed suicide in a very cruel way. I looked at my bag and took the box she gave me out of it.
I opened it and saw all of her razor blades.
I closed it again when flashbacks of yesterday played in front of my eyes.
I opened one of the drawers and placed the box in there.

"Hey mate, you coming to eat lunch with us?" Luke asked. I nodded and walked to the cafeteria. I placed my phone on the table. Just in case that Lilly would call.

After 10 minutes my phone lit up.
Lilly👑:
Can you come home please?
I stood up and ran up the stairs taking my backpack and running back downstairs to my car.
I tried to start my car but it didn't work.
I tried again, nothing happened.
"Come on stupid thing."
I tried again. It finally started.
I drove of the parking lot and went to the apartment.

I parked the car quickly and ran up the stairs. I didn't want to wait for the elevator. There were people waiting outside. "Who are you?" I asked.
"We are Lilly's friends, but she is not letting us in."
"Can you wait outside please."
I opened the door
She was sitting on the couch. Her hands were shaking and tears made their way down her cheeks.
"Can you sent them away?"
I nodded.
I walked to the door and opened it.
"Can you guys leave, Lilly isn't feeling well today."

"But we need to talk to her..."
"She isn't in the mood."
I started realising that they were not going to leave unless I would start to yell.
One of the girls tried to get in but I slowly pushed her back.
"I said leave, now"
I closed the door and took I seat beside Lilly.
Anger was running trough my veins. She placed her head on my chest. Some tears fell on my shirt. "I hate to see you cry." I said kissing her hair. I wrapped my arms around her and started singing her favourite song that I wrote.

Replay the scene over again
Before the credits rolling in
Inside my head
I don't recall a single word,
You hit me faster than I heard
Inside my head

And now I'm shaking, wearing thin
I always wonder where you'd been
Tell me if you wanted it at all

I got a long-term plan with short-term fixes
And a wasted heart that just eclipses
And I push my luck from trust to dust enough
That's the story of another us
One last ditch, a new beginning
So take this heart, put yourself in it
This surprise ending I'm depending on
Could be the story of another us
The story of another us
The story of another us
The story of another us
Could be the story of another us

Memories are pay-per-view,
It costs too much to think of you
I'm hanging by a thread
An epilogue before we're done,
A sequel to what we've begun
I'm hanging by a thread

And now before our hope is lost
My heart is here, it's such a cause
Tell me if you wanted it at all

I got a long-term plan with short-term fixes
And a wasted heart that just eclipses
And I push my luck from trust to dust enough
That's the story of another us
One last ditch, a new beginning
So take this heart, put yourself in it
This surprise ending I'm depending on
Could be the story of another us
The story of another us
The story of another us
The story of another us
Could be the story of another us

Draw me, beside you
Where I'll be to remind you
We're still first in line for
The front row of last resorts

One last ditch, a new beginning
So take this heart, put yourself in it
This surprise ending I'm depending on

I got a long-term plan with short-term fixes
And a wasted heart that just eclipses
And I push my luck from trust to dust enough
That's the story of another us
One last ditch, a new beginning
So take this heart, put yourself in it
This surprise ending I'm depending on
Could be the story of another us
The story of another us
The story of another us
The story of another us
Could be the story of another us

"I love you Lilly."
"I love you Cal."
As soon as she calmed down we cooked dinner together.
We made a mess just like when we did when we made pancakes.
She was laughing, after a long time she was laughing again and I made her do that.

I love that girl so much...
She is so special, so open minded, so curious, but still so sensitive and insecure about things. Fans ask me on Twitter and Instagram what I want to change about her but the answer is nothing, she is perfect. Everyone is perfect in their own way and if people tell you you're not you don't have to listen to them.

"Lilly you're perfect to me."
She turned around, smiled in a shy way, looked at the ground while she was blushing and hugged me like she never wanted to let go. That was the moment I knew I was never going to leave this beautiful girl.
