Chapter 8 - Rumours

Everyone nodded. She looked at the TV, and at the people's eyes, they were clearly nervous. She couldn't help but think they were cute kids.

"Well, before we start I would like to make one announcement. Yesterday I scouted one singer, she will be soon arriving at the company, and I would like to start working ASAP. She is very talented, if you don't mind to come back in the afternoon to discuss with her, I would appreciate it."

Looking at the TV once again and at the table, she wanted to know if anyone had any questions before continuing.

"Well, that's that. Now 'if it is you'" She said looking at them.

A boy lifted its hand as if asking permission to speak with Luna responded with a slight nod.

"We made some arrangements, and we used the picture from the photoshoot you made last week. It is ready to be released. We just need to arrange the date." He said nervous, pressing his hands together.

Luna gave a small smile, so cute.

"Okay. Let us hear it then." She said. Looking at the TV, seeing her face appear in it she left a smile slip her lips. It was indeed a good picture.

It was her with closed eyes, water dripping down her face, with the low lights and the wet hair slicked back, in the middle of the crowded city, it was visible she was concealing a cry, letting the tears blend in with the rain, but still. It combined very well with the feeling of the song as it started.

Luna closed her eyes feeling the song. It was indeed a beautiful song. The best one she had made so far, maybe. It overflowed with emotion, the instrumental made one feel the feelings sink in deeper at each loud note. It was a beautiful song. If Luna was the type of person to demonstrate feelings easily she would let out a cry, but she wasn't. Not anymore.

Luna was now a strong woman, cold perhaps. Entering one's thoughts she could easily be perceived as a calculating woman, with evil intentions, with impeccable dirty schemes. However, maybe because of her soft looks, no one would think such thing of her, and she was aware of it, and planning to use it to her advantage. Luna was greedy, she was jealous, manipulative and vain, and yet she could make herself so vulnerable as it appeared in the song. Even she could surprise herself in how shameless she could make herself seem.

"I like it." She said briefly looking to her manager. "Release it today, do an announcement first on the fan site. We will shoot the music video in a bit. I will also start the promotions. Thank you, ladies and gentleman for your hard work, you surprised me today. It was a beautiful piece." She said getting up. " I have a meeting now, but please give yourselves a pat on the back because you did amazing."

Meanwhile, in another company, a woman stared at a man. Passion could be seen through their eyes, even if they tried their best to conceal it.

"Do you want to move in?" She asked hesitant. Even though the two of them have been living together for a while now, it has never been official. "You know, for real."

Looking at her eyes without deflecting, he only nodded his head. Not that it was a passionate thing. It was more for commodity. To be honest he was so used to being at her place that he completely forgot to look for a place of his own. And, even though it was risky to be seen together with the model, weeks had already passed so he didn't really care anymore.

Taking her hand and kissing it, he looked at her eyes.

"I love you, don't forget that." He said kissing her hand once again. She blushed lightly, responding with a shy smile. Lowering her face in embarrassment she responded with a quiet 'I love you'.

Looking at the beautiful woman the man leaned forward.

"Sorry, I couldn't hear you. " He said kissing one of her cheeks.

Looking at the man's eyes, she widened her smile. Her skin acquiring a few darker shades of pink. She leaned closer, a few inches from the man.

"I love you" She said, pressing here lips against his. Because they were at the company they couldn't care less what they showed and where. The cafeteria has been busy enough for them to overlook the whole situation.

Looking at each other, the couple didn't notice the child celebrity doing one of her daily live streams one table away, the scene in the back had caught everyone's attention, especially since Derek's face was clear to see, alongside with Nancy's blonde hair. In a beat, the internet was taken by a storm. Since Nancy was still a second grade model, she was not very recognizable, and since Luna had long tried to look like the woman, the public saw themselves confused.

'Is that Luna?'

'Didn't they get divorced? Was it all to hype them up? How scheming.'

If only Derek kept his pants to himself...
