Whats the point in living? My little brother is dead. My twin and my older brother are always leaving me to fight. My eldest brother walks around mourning the loss of himself. My little sister throws herself at every man who shows her a hint of attention. Why do i continue to submit myself to this horror we call life. Oh yeah. Its because im an immortal hybrid. Who is left alone all the time. Oh well. Nothing i can do about it. Trust me....... I tried.

1420 BC
"Nicklaus! Where have you gone?" I call out to my minutes older twin. "You must find me, Tanya!" He responds. I look up into the trees, and smile. I've always loved nature. It gives me time away from father. He doesn't care much for me, nor Nicklaus. Elijah says it's because he can't handle all my loveliness, but I don't know.

I hear giggling, and catch sight of blonde hair moving around. "I found you Nicklaus! Now you must come down!" I call out, and my brother looks at me. "I'm not coming down, so you'll just have to come get me!" He says smiling, then turns and climbs higher. I look to the tree, and pull my sleeves up further on my elbow. I then place my right foot in a hole, and hoist myself up.

I get towards Nik, but he turns around and climbs further. "You can't catch me!" He taunts. "This is no longer funny, Nicklaus!" I pout, yet I keep climbing. I then place my left foot on a branch and grab one above my hand. "Tanya, wait-" He says, but I don't hear him over the sound of the air flying in my ear.

I close my eyes waiting for the ground, but instead, feel warm arms wrap around me. "What are you doing, little one?!" I hear a concerned voice ask. I open my hardly shut eyes, and gasp then hug my savior. "Elijah." I whisper.

I then feel small hands touch my own, and hear my twin. "I'm so sorry, Tanya!" He whispers. Elijah sets me down, and I hug my twin.

He is then pulled from my grasp, and I hear him call out in pain. "Father, please." I beg. "What were you thinking, boy?!" Father scowls. I try to pull Nik back to me, but father slaps me, sword in hand. I feel the tear in my cheek, and put my head in Elijah's torso. Then I hear Nik cry, and Elijah tightens his arms around me. "Don't look, little one." He whispers.

Present day
With my siblings now awake, I must make my way to Mystic Falls, my once upon a time home. I know danger and heartache await me. I don't care. In fact, I haven't cared about anything in centuries.

I pass the sign reading Welcome to Mystic Falls, and I smirk. This town is in for a rude awakening.
