~~~~He Hurts, I hurt~~~~
Bessa from across the sea lives in the shadowed lands of Borson's moments with his first love, Elska.
She has become mired in the suffocating quicksand,
Sucked down by their past happiness and Her own despair.
All those FIRST moments,
She believed would someday be Hers,
He shared with her.
Intimately
Lovingly
His light
He even called her, "my mate".
Before He found Her...
She wasn't even a thought...
Except to His WILD, who always said, "Not ours."
His past wasn't dead,
it lived on in the mind of Bessa from across the sea...
A sea now filled with His tears...The tears of Their children...
Her eyes leaking always...
The bone tomb of Her heart sealed
Against them,
Against Him...
Against her... and HIM... together...
She retreated from Their world,
Smothered by His memories,
While Her children wither from the lack of a Mother.
She's become a ghost in the land of the living,
Entombed in the house He built for her.
An endless salted stream flows from Him,
As He begs Her to love them.
"I'm nothing..." spoken from dull green.
Broken...
Her despair was darker than winter's long night shadowing Their home.
A stranger returning from Her long days in the distant land of a soul lost.
Her delusion of being unwanted, unworthy, unloved,
From watching the illusion of what His light was.
His sins, Her sorrows,
Her depression, His desperation,
Their penitence is too potent to contain,
It punishes Their Children.
Innocence withdrawn into states of bitterness.
Reactionary. Poisoned. Hurting.
"Love them," He begs."they hate me," She says.
Tears falling in the sink,
A salted sea inside leaking out.
The sins of the Father remembered,
The sorrows of the Mother hindered,
The misery of the Children surrendered,
To a love that was falsely rendered.
Crying. Striving.
Hoping. Trying.
Slowly Their family revives,
As all that is Mother returns.
But She can't look at Him
Because She can't stop seeing them.
