(A/N I do not own or claim to own any of the rights to these pictures these pictures are used to help my characters come to life. This is what I imagine Nadia and Marissa to look like except Nadia has black curlier hair. Nadia is first picture and Marisa is second)

It was seven minutes past midnight and the drinks were finally settling in. The club that was buried away deep in New York City's Lower East Side, was just shy of 100 people but that didn't stop Nadia from smuggling her way in.

" And that's why I'm so happy to be single!"

Marissa Abraham shouted over the loud club music while grabbing another drink from the bar, I counted it as her fifth drink but Im most likely off by one or two , but to be honest, at this point- only God knows how many she's actually had.

"Amen to that "

I commended her as a slurped down my first shot of vodka , feeling satisfied as I felt the burning alcohol slide down my throat Marissa continued on with her theory of how relationships work and According to Her; A relationship is not emotional, it is psychological, one person is psycho and the other is logical....

Yea I guess she's beyond drunk.

I shook my head and laughed to myself as she continued on with her theory while ordering my second shot.

"And thats all women should just stay single"

She finished while unintentionally slamming her shot glass on the bar. She smiled causing  her blue eyes to gleam underneath the clubs neon lights.

I shook my head at the silly thoughts that were flying out of her mouth.

"You are just saying this right  now Marisa - but trust me, once Mr. Right comes along you will forget all about your so called theory "

I replied casually as my third shot for the night was handed off to me.

Her pretty blue eyes suddenly became dull and for the first time that night she no longer wore a smile.

" Yea I thought already had him" she replied softly.

Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!

I groaned to myself for being so carless not realizing that I just unconsciously opened up pandoras box. How could I be so stupid to forget why we were here  in the first place?

Nate.

I grimaced at the mere thought of his name. That Idiot was Marisa's fiancé. They were suppose to get married this summer but all that changed when Marisa walked in on him and his very lovely co worker was on her knees.

Of course Marisa called everything off right then and there and she even told his mother what he did, but she hasn't been right every since. Why any man would cheat on her? I dont know.
