This fan fiction is BoyxBoy based. Therefore Michael's character will be portrayed as gay. This is STRICTLY fiction, and in no way representing him or Eddie Murphy as such in real life. Michael will not be represented as overly masculine in this book, and if you are wondering, in this story he is a bottom. This isn't only my personal preference for this story but it is other's as well. If you are not comfortable with this concept, or if you simply don't like it then I will tell you in the nicest way possible to just not read it. Negative comments containing homophobia, or rudeness will not be tolerated and will be ignored. This book is in no way aiming to offend Michael, Eddie or anyone else mentioned in this story. I created this story to add more diversity to MJ Fiction and will not only be writing BoyxBoy fan fiction in the future, I want to write stories that will fit all genders.
Timelines
In order to prevent confusion I want to address Michael's age and era for this book. For each chapter the POVs will alternate between Eddie and Michael: Eddie's POV will take place in 2008 while Michael's POV will start in 1992. In order to keep the eras I wanted for this book I decided to change the years with the eras. In other words, the dangerous Era will take place during Michael's POV and the HIStory era will be evident in Eddie's POV. People who were introduced into Michael's life, for example Lisa Marie Presley will take place at a different time instead of them getting a divorce in 1996 they would have already divorced in 1992 when Michael's POV begins. I am mentioning this because I don't want people correcting me on when certain things happen or what year was a certain era when this is all done intentionally.
Trigger Warnings
This story will have mentions of drug abuse, violence, alcoholism, and mental health. If any of these factors will trigger you in any way I strongly suggest you not read it. There will also be explicit language used throughout this story.
Sexual scenes will be evident in this story but not as much as you think. This is not a smut-based fanfiction and will not contain sex during every other chapter. Most sexual scenes will not be mentioned, but the assumption of sexual intercourse will be displayed based on their environment, and character description. I want to focus more on the plot for this story instead of constant sex even though I have no problems will writing them. Therefore if you are a reader looking for smut throughout, this is not the book you're looking for.
