Once upon a time in a world of never-ending possibilities
We used to think we couldn't control our realities
As we believed that we needed to please others with pretend
We used to live a life of contradictions and frustrations to no end
We were masters of excuses for justifying our behaviors
We used to behave like victims and be dependent on help and favors
We often spend hours complaining about our negative experience
While preaching that there's no such a thing as a coincidence
It was a habitual ritual of behaving like we were always in need of validation
We were often going about life creating and living by others' expectations
Blind with sight by choice we used our reality to justify our lack of vision
For some of us, it took decades and for others, it took generations to make the change
As we eventually realized that we were the ones accountable for our pain
It was a moment of complete liberation when we all became self-aware
It took time, discipline, and patience
To fully understand that we were in control of our circumstances
Even though we often struggle with our self-inflicted distractions
We're often trying to help others reach their full potential as we practice our principles
It is through the practice of compassionate love and understanding
That we could see everything is but a different version of ourselves expanding
We are constantly creating our physical reality according to our preferences and needs
We are doing the best we can to succeed as we play inside this endless life of dreams
Surrendering to the universe within
With each ending a new beginning
We understand that there are no outside forces
Our lives will always be our choices.
