{ I went to a BTS concert also my FIRST EVER concert and wrote about it for school. Enjoy~ :) }

I was heading to a BTS concert today. Who is BTS? BTS is a korean band that debuted in 2013. BTS stands for Bangtan Boys. Which in English literally means Bulletproof Boy Scouts. They sing almost every genre. Honestly, k-pop is it’s own unique genre. The members consist of Kim Seokjin, Kim Namjoon, Kim Taehyung, Jung Hoseok, Min Yoongi, Park Jimin, and Jeon Jungkook. They have the most amazing personalities and can sing and rap like gods. But that’s a whole other tangent.

Before I knew what hit me it was time for my first ever concert. On top of it being my first, I was in Los Angeles. A city full of celebrities and right next to Hollywood. We visited Hollywood for a few hours to see the stars earlier in the trip. Only, we never did look at them all. We got distracted by a BT21 store.

BT21 as you probably could have guessed is another thing related to BTS. You see, they created BT21 themselves. They are little characters each member personally drew themselves. They are pretty adorable.

My stomach twisted and churned with anxiety. I was overly nervouscited. In fact, I was even a little terrified of what was to come.

By the time it was time to go I was sweating puddles. I put my headband with little Tata(Tae’s Character from BT21) hearts on and wore it proudly. I even gripped onto the now floppy Tata balloon I had gotten for free as well. It started to deflate the moment I gotten my hands on it. It made me drip with disappointment as it was a once in a lifetime balloon.

We got into the uber on the way to the Staples Center. The air got heavier every second of being in that uber. I stared out the window in utter fear watching cars fly by the opposite direction. I fiddled with my fingers as my sister continuously hit me with brute force. She was so excited it hurt, literally. She stopped when she accidentally almost ruined a drawing I had made to hold up during the concert. Well… to give to one of the members. I know it sounded far fetched, but I really wanted him of all people to have the sketch. Honestly, knowing he had my art I put so much work into would make me so happy. No one could ever understand how strongly I felt toward giving him the drawing.

Many tents were lined up outside the Staples Center when we arrived. We decided to ask what they were waiting for in tents. We were told by fellow ARMY they were there for tomorrow's concert. I even heard a news reporter commenting on the massive amount of people willing to wait so long for the pit. As they moved the camera down the line they interviewed a select few ARMY'S. I was out of earshot of what they were asking in the interviews, but it was crazy nonetheless.

ARMY’S are what the fans of BTS are called. So, when I say fellow ARMY I mean fellow fans.

We didn't have to wait in line since we had a seat so we headed to the front of the building. We entered past some security guards who checked our tickets and put our items through one of those machines you'd find in airports. I was shocked and felt anxiety floating around my stomach at the airport-like security. Thankfully, it was much more laid back then I thought.

After getting our bags checked we headed straight to our seats. On the way we met some army with merch they got for free. Though they had gotten it in line and we just so happened to meet the person who had bought the last one. At that moment I wished we could wait in line for the concert tomorrow. It was definitely worth it at this point in time.

We found our seats on floor C-something in a vip section. It was high up and not that close. But it was so spaced out that it was easy to get food and other necessities. I never used that privilege. In fact, I forgot to eat dinner that night. It also had a perfect overhead view of the stage. We stood out a lot as we decided to stand against the glass. I was wearing a very showy crop top complimented by jean shorts. Honestly, my skin showing attire didn’t bother me as much as I was expecting. Which made me glad as I never get chances to dress nice in public due to my shyness. My nervousness didn't subside one bit though as I stood there. The anticipation of them being right there on stage growing every second.
