Chapter 27 - The word 'Saranghae'

Draco's POV
"Sar...Sar...ang...hae." I said, carefully.
"What are you doing?" Blaise asked.

"I'm trying to say this word." I replied, showing him the dictionary.

He looked where I pointed and started to laugh at me.

"What?" I asked.
"Dude, that's the easy word." He replied.

"Well, if you know it. How do you pronounce it?" I asked.
"Easy. It's 'Saranghae.'" Blaise replied.

"Sar...what?" I asked.
Blaise sighed and sat by me.

"It's 'Saranghae'. Read my lips. Sar....ang...hae." he said.
"Sar.....ang....hae. Saranghae." I said.

Blaise started to let out a snicker.
"What? What did I do now?" I asked.

"You pronounced it wrong, mate. And by the way, do you know what this word mean?" he said.
"Um...." I looked through the dictionary.

And...it means....

"Well?" Blaise asked.
"Well...um...it means....I....love you." I replied.

"Whoa mate. You love me? Haha, I didn't know you're gay." Blaise said.

"Hey! I'm not gay!" I exclaimed.

Blaise laughed once again.
"I was just kidding." he said.

I sighed.

"By the way, since when you learn this word?" I asked.
"Easy. From Belle. I've been hanging out with her lately. Once you hang out with her, and with accent. You started to know what she meant." he replied.

Blaise and Belle have been hanging out? I thought.

"And this word 'Saranghae' will make girls blush." Blaise said.
"Really?" I asked.

He nodded. "Just don't over do it."

Erika's POV
We were all at the Great Hall, eating breakfast. Every guy came up to Belle and asked her for a date.
She totally rejected them all. I was hoping Cedric will come up, but no he didn't.

"I really hate this." Belle said.
"You're telling me. Felt like we need to protect Belle, including Erika." Hermione said.
"Why me?" I asked.

Hermione gave me a look.

"Oh...um...right." I said.

Then, the doors opened, revealing Malfoy and Blaise.
But Malfoy was holding a book?

I didn't know he reads. I thought.

"That's the Korean Dictionary." Belle said.
"Eh? How can you tell?" Hermione asked.
"Simple. Most Korean Dictionary in Hogwarts have a brown cover with a red bounded cover." she replied.

"That's interesting." I said.
"Kind of weird though, Malfoy's reading a dictionary." Ron said.
Harry nodded agreeing with Ron.

"Maybe he's just learning." Belle said.
"Don't know." I said.

"Say....Erika." Hermione trailed off looking at me.
"What?" I asked.

She then leaned into my ear and whispered.
"How do you say 'I love you' in Korean?"

My eyes widen at that.
"MWOH?!" I exclaimed.

Belle nearly jumped from my shouting.
"Mwoh-ya?" she asked.

"Are you thinking right, Hermione?" I asked.
"Well, yeah. So how do you pronounce it?" Hermione asked again.

"Pronounce what?" Ron asked.

"Um....uh...." I uttered.
Belle sighed and asked.....

"Geunyeoneun dangsin-i mueos-eul yogu haessneunga?"
"Belle, Heleumionneu neun eotteohge naega dangsin-eul salanghandago haneun na-ege mul-eossda." I replied.

"Eh?! Jinja?" Belle exclaimed.
"Are you two talking about?" Harry asked.

"Waeyo?" Belle asked.
"Nado Molla." I replied.

"Speak English you two." Ron said.
"Sorry, Ron." I said.

I turned to Hermione, who's giving me a confused look.
"Can we talk about this later?" I asked.
"Sure." Hermione replied.

I sighed out of relief.

Until.....

"SARANGHAE!!!!!" Malfoy shouted it out.
Everyone stopped eating and turned to him.

Why did he say that? I thought.

He then sat down, embarrassed.
"What was that about?" Ron asked.
"No idea." Hermione replied.

"Say it one more time, Draco." Blaise said.
"Sar....ang..hae." I said.

"No, you said it wrong. It's Saranghae." he said.
"That's what I said." I said.

"You mispronounced it. Say a few times." he said.
"Saran...ghae." I said.

"You're getting there." he said.
"Saranghae." I said.

"A little bit louder." Blaise said.

I growled and stood up.
"SARANGHAE!!!"

Everyone stopped eating and looked at me.
It was too embarrassing, so I sat back down.

Blaise was laughing at me, quietly.
"Shut up."

Erika's POV

"So how do you say it?" Hermione asked.
I sighed. "It's Saranghae."

"Saranghae?" she asked.
"Whoa....you got it right. And you pronounce it right too." I said.

Hermione giggled.
"By the way....why did you want to know?" I asked.

Hermione stopped and blushed.
"W--well....I---" I cut her off.

"I see....it's for Ron."
"No it's not." she said.

"Is to!"
"No, it's not!"

Hermione and I kept on arguing until Ice was hit on our heads.
"Ow!" we winced.

"Can't you two keep quiet?! I'm trying to think here! Hermione wants to say it, so Ron wouldn't know what it meant! There! Problem solved!" Belle exclaimed.

Hermione and I winced again.

"Well, someone's on their period." I mumbled.

"I heard that!" Belle exclaimed again.
