Chapter 5 Why

(Luna's POV)

I walked outside, as the rain fell down on my body

My father had never put his hands on me and the first time he ever hits me, all for his stupid whore

'What did I ever do you to you' I yelled up, looking at the dark sky

I didn't expect an answer, but I kept yelling

'Why do you hate me so much? You took my mother, you took my life, and now your taking my dad too? Why do you hate me so much? Why?' I yelled, crying

A huge thunder stick hit, lighting up the gloomy sky

'Why do you take everyone from me, why does everyone leave me? Why does everyone go? Why do you take everyone from me' I called out, falling down to my knees 'why?" I whispered, raining pounding down on my shoulders 

Another lightning bolt hit, illuminating the sky

'Why?' I cried, hiding my head between my knees as the heavy rain hit me

A large hand slowly laid on my shoulder, a thumb rubbing over my sensitive skin

"I'm right here, I'm not going anywhere" a guy said

I looked up to find Angel, looking down at me

His blonde hair, was smoothed down by the rain and his blue grey eyes, looked sad and lonely

"I'm not going to leave you, Luna. As long as you want me, I'll be here" he yelled over the rain, getting down on his knees and wrapping his arms around my cold body

He combed his fingers threw my wet hair, rubbing my shoulder with the other

He slowly picked me up, helping me walk out of the park

"Where are you taking me?" I asked him

"I need to get you out of the rain, before you get pneumonia" he said, wrapping his coat over me

We both walked towards a motel, near the park

"Come on, we will have to stay here for the night. It's raining to hard outside to drive" he said and opened the door for me to walk in

I thanked him and walked in, waiting for him to walk back at my side

"Hello, we need a room, for just one night" Angel said, looking at the short woman infront of us

The woman nodded and took the money from Angel's hand

"Your room is 3b" she said, not looking at me or Angel 

We both thanked her and walked towards our room

"Go take  a warm shower and put this on, once your done " he said, handing me an over sized shirt, once we got to our room

I thanked him again, not looking at him and walked inside the bathroom

After about 10 minutes, I was done showering and changed, towel drying my hair, I walked out to find Angel, looking out the window

"You like the rain?" I asked him, sitting down on the bed 

"Yeah" he said, turning to look at me

"You should also go shower, your also dripping wet" I told him, braiding my damp hair to my side

"Alright" he said and hopped up and walked into the bathroom

I didn't know what to say to him or how to act

He was so sweet, but at the same time, he hurt me. He gave them the idea of selling my mom's house

I turned my head and looked out at the rain as it poured down

I knew that I had to apologize for slapping him, but how did I do that, when at the same time, I wanted to do it again?

(Angel's POV)

I called out to Luna, as she looked out the window, but I could tell that she was deep in thought

"Luna?" I asked again, placing my hand lightly on her shoulder

She jumped up, turning to look at me

Her eyes landed on my chest

I couldn't help but smile, as she blushed

"You can take the bed, it's late and we both need sleep" I told her, turning around and grabbing a pillow

"No, it's fine. I think I can trust you not to do something stupid while I sleep. What side do you sleep on?" she asked, looking up at me, with a smile in his face

"I actually sleep in the middle" I told her, crossing my arms in front of my chest

"What a coincidence, me too" she smiled, moving to the right so that I could lay down

I chuckled and laid down

We both made our way, towards the middle of the bed, so that we were both face to face

I closed my eyes, feeling her warmth radiating off of her

"Angel?" she asked me

"Mmm" I grumbled

"I'm sorry I hit you, I shouldn't have done that" she whispered

"It's okay, I'm kinda use to getting slapped by women. The one that shouldn't have hit you was your father" I told her, touching the corner of her mouth with my index finger

She jumped a little, but relaxed under my touch after a while

"No, he shouldn't have" she whispered, as tears filled her eyes

"I wont ever let him, touch you again" I promised

"Angel?" She asked me again

I closed my eyes

"Yeah" I asked

"I'm happy to have you with me" she said to me

I opened my eyes and looked into her blue eyes

She smiled a little, but winced, when the corner I her mouth stretched

I softly touched her bruise, slowly extending my thumb over her bottom lip and then back towards her bruise

A loud thunder strick hit, making her jump closer to me, moving her head toward mine

Our lips nearly touched

Now it was only a matter of who made the first move

"We should both go to sleep" she whispered, resting her hand on my naked chest

"Yeah, we should" I told her, rubbing out noses together

"Yeah" she said, taking in a deep breath

She closed her eyes and slowly pulled away from me

"Goodnight Angel" she said and turned her body from mine

I slowly moved towards her and kissed her cheek lightly

"Goodnight Luna" I said and laid my arm over her tiny body

Then I slowly fell asleep
