I feel exposed,
Words flying past a hundred miles a minute.
Faces after faces,
None of whom I know.
My heart races,
In a room full of people,
Most of them are strangers.
I can't breathe.
I can't think.
Music blasts through the speakers.
This is supposed to be a happy time.
Laughing, laughing,
Smiles and dances.
Who's the strange girl crying in the corner.
Nobody knows.
