"Niall hasn't given it to her in awhile." Shawn said grabbing a banana out of the fruit bowl in the middle of the table.

"At least I get something from Niall." She retorted. My stomach clenched and sent a shooting pain through it.

"Hey guys," I said, trying to interrupt them.

"Do you though?" Shawn asked turning to look at her with a mouth full of banana.

"Can you shut up for five seconds?" I asked, slightly louder, but they were still arguing

"Are either of you getting anything from Niall. I mean he gives more love to his golf clubs than I've seen any man do in a while." Charlie said butting in, not making anything better.

"Wouldn't you like to know?" Ally asked now arguing with both boys.

"THATS ENOUGH!" I shouted.

"She started it!" Shawn said pointing at Ally.

"Real mature!" Ally said said flipping him off.

"Enough! Seriously, something hurts." I say grabbing at my stomach.

"Mer," Ally said turning her attention towards me.

"Babe? What's going on?" Shawn asked coming over to me.

"I don't know!" I screamed in pain.

"What's happening?" Charlie asked running in from the living.

"Calm down, guys. Mer does it feel tight?" Ally asked.

"Yeah. Wait I think it's over." I say taking a deep breath.

"Mendes, put your timer on. If it happens again write it down." Ally said taking control of the situation.

"What's happening?" Shawn asked, getting his phone out of his pocket and starting his timer.

"Braxton Hicks contractions. It's common around this time in the pregnancy. They're like real contractions, which is why I need you to time them, but they will be far apart and irregular. It's the body's way of preparing Mer for the actual birth." Ally said.

"Someone paid attention in birth class." Charlie said.

"My brothers' birth actually." She said nonchalantly.

"What?! I need to hear that story!" Charlie said pulling a chair up and leaning on the table.

"My mom went into early labor with my younger brother. We thought we could get to the hospital, turns out we couldn't. We pulled over and jumped in the trunk and me and my dad delivered my brother." Ally said, very proud of her accomplishment. "The doctors gave me stickers and stuff when we got to the hospital."

"Oh yeah I forgot about that." I said, laying back against Shawn who was standing behind me.

"You have a younger brother?" Shawn asked.

"I'm the oldest of five." Ally said.

"Was he the only sibling you delivered?" Shawn asked

"No, I helped deliver my youngest sibling too." She said.

"How old were you when delivered your brother?" Charlie asked.

"Ten, And I was fourteen when my youngest sister was born."

"Learn something everyday." Charlie said.

"Speaking of," I said interjecting. "Go back to you and Niall." I said looking at her.
