Listen to the song... It's Korean pero the melody is really spot-on for the plot I am developing below (mejo bandang huli na)... This chapter is sort of a prologue to the next chapter, pero depending on the response, I can simply not continue on this plot.

Mika's POV

What did I do to deserve this? I never thought I'd ever be this happy. As a teenager, all you'd ever really hope after graduating is to get into a good university, have a peaceful but still memorable 4 years in college, then find a job.

For me, anything beyond that is just a bonus. Who'd have thought that that bonus would come into my life in the form of a superstar cager named Kiefer Ravena?

Who'd have thought that I'd fall in love with him this deeply, this intensely, this fast? Not me, that's for sure. I never imagined finding an honest-to-goodness, kind-hearted, God-fearing man like him. And he's definitely a man that stands out amongst boys.

He has used his popularity and following, along with his family's support and brought relief to tragedy-stricken areas all over the country; he has founded Fastbreak for aspiring boys without much means with basketball aspirations.

And after finding Pen-pen, ni-treat pa niya to Titan and dinner with us... Palibhasa ang saya kasi nanalo against us...

Can you blame him, though?

Pero infairness, other than for his vanity, may ibang silbi rin naman pala yung social network niya...

Twitter/IG hiatus my ass! Nevertheless, proud girlfriend right here pa rin ang peg ko... ☺

Mika: Are you sure kaya mo matiis hindi mag-twitter and Instagram? Ikaw? Really?!

Kiefer: Kaya yan, syempre kailangan focus sa basketball season di ba?

"So di na rin tayo magkikita outside your game days?" I teased him.

Kiefer: Huy, ano naman yun? Bakit may ganun?

Mika: E di ba sabi mo, you want to focus on the season, e baka maging distraction lang ako...

Kiefer: Ano ka ba, you're not a distraction, you're my inspiration kaya! Kita mo nung first game, 21 points kagad ako! So stop that distraction talk, promise?

"Oo na, eto talaga o..." Ok, so sineryoso niya yung pang-aasar ko... Ravena talaga...

Napapailing na lang ako, kasi friends pa lang kami banatero na to, palevel-up lang ng palevel up nung naging kami, so ngayon oo na lang ako, sanay na eh...

Thank God nakabalik na kami pareho sa kanya-kanyang bahay before the actual storm landed... Lalangoy na ba kami? Buhay-Taft nga naman o....

I was doing my homeworks on my laptop when suddenly the lights flickered, once, twice, thrice (I was holding my breath at this point)... until it finally gave up and died.

Ano ba yan, I'm not even halfway done! Ugh!

My phone rang, and sinagot ko naman agad since it was Kiefer calling...

Kiefer: Mika... kayo?

Mika: Kief, paulit, di ko naintindihan?

Kiefer: ...sta ...jan?

Mika: Kief, choppy, di kita maintindihan?
