I'm a little more than Useless

Chapter 4

After Dr . Richards left I got really scared. What if he worked with my father?What if he went to call him now? I could not go back there. My father would torture me for telling someone about him.

I got up and made my way to the door and was about to run out the door when I ran into a tall muscular man who had power emanating off him. I stepped back to the wall and lowered my head.

He titled his head studying me. Dr. Richards appeared behind him. Dr. Richards came to stand next to me.

"It's okay Craven. He won't hurt you," Dr. Richards said.

The man stuck his hand out for me to shake. I looked at Dr. Richards who nodded I walked hesitantly to the man, took his hand and shook it. He smiled widely at me.

"Welcome to our home. My name is Drew. You are welcome to stay for as long as you wish. Everyone is excited to meet you"

I was so confused. Drew caught me so off guard. I just stood there with my mouth hanging open completely dumbfounded. 

Dr. Richards laughed. "Craven, I will only let you meet the family if you are completely sure you want to"

"Well...You guys are really nice so yeah...sure I guess"

Drew clapped his hands together. "This is going to be fun!"

Dr. Richards chuckled but turned to me seriously, "Stay close to me. There are alot of them."

"Okay"

We left the room that now felt like home to me. I stepped through the threshold and followed Dr.Richards and Drew down a very long corridor that had doors on every side.

Drew started walking backwards and was talking to me, " This is the hospital wing of the house. This is where Seth here spends most of his time"

I smiled. " Dr. Richards is a good doctor"

"I am? I didn't have to do much with you Craven" He said, "And please just call me Seth. You are family now"

I smiled. "I thought you guys said there were alot of people?"

"After we brought you here we weren't sure about the family's safety so no one was allowed in this wing"

"This hallway is so long," I said as we took a left at the end of the seemingly neverending hallway.

"Ha. This is the smallest wing of the house" Drew said.

We walked down more hallways and passed a million and one doors. I was so tired. We reached a huge double door and stopped.

"Get ready, Craven" Drew said and opened the doors.

He pushed open the doors to reveal a gigantic room filled with dozens of people of all ages. Little kids were running around chasing each other and everybody else was sitting down in front of a huge television. Most of them seemed to be couples. When they said a big family I didn't know they meant this big.

I looked at Drew and Seth astonished. They both smiled and chuckled. Drew stepped forward and cleared his throat. What was he doing clearing his throat? He expects all of them to hear him?

  He did it again a little louder and everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at him. They all stood up and a chorus of "Hey Drews" went through the room.

He looked back at me and ushered me forward.I stepped beside him and everyone's eyes were on me.

"Everyone we have a new member to the uh...err family. His name is Craven and he is a little shaken up so please treat him properly. If I hear of anything other than kindness I will deal with it personally. He is family now. If you have a problem you can come to me directly. However, you guys are awesome and I know you will make him feel at home. That is all."

Everyone smiled at me then went back to what they were doing.

"How about we finish the tour?" Seth asked,grinning.

YAAY!!! CHAPTER 4!!! This book wasn't even supposed to be this long at all. I don't even know if you guys read this. I hope so.Please. Can you vote and Comment?
