Bruce PoV

An uneventful week passed at the pack, with no one protesting my reign. At least not audibly. My new pack deserved a change of scenery any way. There were many things that I needed to put into place before we could make our first move on the West and this is what led me to where I was today. I sat in the dark, sound-proofed room with Kris, who was still not speaking to me, beside me. I looked around in a futile attempt to see something but I could not make out even a shape.

The atmosphere was thick and suffocating and I soon became aware of my own breathing. Inhale. Exhale. I shook my head in an attempt to stop thinking about it as my breathing became the more laborious. The room was so silent I could hear my heart pounding in my chest and the sloshing of my blood within my body.

"The silence. Strange isn't it?" A deep, entrancing voice came from the depths of the darkness. I moved my head in the direction of the source of the melodious, bewitching sound.
"It is. Can we please get down to business?" I asked in a matter-of-fact tone.

The voice chuckled, "That's what wrong with you. You have no patience. That will be the end of you." This time the voice floated from the other side of the room.
"I am sorry can we please discuss this?" I asked politely, gritting my teeth.

The voice scoffed, "Why should I help you? I gain nothing."
"I can make it worth your while. Name a price."
A deafening laugh flooded the whole room coming to an abrupt end. "Who says I want your blood money?"

The voice said as warm, minty breath fanned my face. I shot out my hand to grab the man; in a gust of wind I felt he was no longer in front of me anymore.
"Hmm... you are slow too?" a voice from behind me said, "Forgive me, but how have you not been killed yet?" Kris reached out quickly and tried to grab him but in an instant he was gone again. His cackling laughter erupted once more.

"Let me explain something very quickly to you. The darkness is my tool. I use it like you use your anger to fight my battles."

"I just want to know if you will help us get my Omega back," I said, finally giving up trying to turn in the direction his voice was.

"You come to me to help you retrieve something as lowly as an Omega? Leave me now Bruce."

"He is with the West," wincing as he did not address me correctly.

"Your point is? I have no misgivings with the West"

"However, I heard you like challenges. This is a big challenge"

"It seems you did your homework. It is true I do enjoy a good challenge. However, I do not kill solely for the pleasure as it seems you do. I kill with reason."

"That is fine," I replied turning my body to face the sound of his voice.

"Also, I follow my own rules, I move on my own command. Is that clear?"

"Crystal."

"Fine. I shall help you."

"Now that we are working together. What is your name?" I asked, there was a silence that followed.

"My name is Enzo."

Kris and I went back to the pack house and I was filled with a new sense of accomplishment that we now had one of the best assassins on our side. Cale and Zac joined Kris and I in Ashton's office so we could decide the plan with Enzo.

I video called Enzo on Ashton's conference webcam so he could see all of us. However, Enzo didn't have a webcam so we couldn't see him. Not that he wanted to be seen by us. I went over the plan with all four men several times and they put in their inputs all the while Enzo and Zac stayed silent.
