Tori woke up the next morning to the sound of wind chimes coming from my phone. She turned to my side to grab it and saw that it was Saturday 9:15 am. GREAT! TIME TO GO BACK TO SLEEP! She puts the phone back on the table stand and eased herself back into the soft covers. As she was about to surrender to its warmth, her stomach growled. Memories from last night flooded back to her head. She was so tired from running away from that psychotic creepy man that she neglected her stomach. Darn it...You win this time stomach.
Tori rolled out of bed and headed downstairs to the kitchen.
What's on today's menu? She opened up the fridge to see half a carton of eggs and some cheese. Cheesy omelets it is then. She turned on the T.V. and flipped to a random news channel. Hopefully, it'll block out the eerie feeling of loneliness in this house.
"In Today's news, four staff members were found unconscious at the Docks by Sunny Bay. Police suspect an illegal drug deal was going on, authorities are currently investigating and questioning any witnesses." Explained James Ned
The memories of the day before suddenly hit Tori's heart with a sharp pang. The anxiety had swallowed her voice completely. It was a drug deal...and I walked in on it. The thoughts from yesterday had resurfaced and left Tori frightened to the point where she couldn't hear the doorbell ringing for the past 10 min.
The door originally latched on the wall securely, was now smashed onto the floor. Tori, terrified from the day before and the abruptness of the door had left her in a frozen state. I have to run she thought to herself, I have to run!
Tori's body wouldn't move, it refused to move. Her breathing became panting, her arms that were originally relaxed by her side were now clutching onto her chest as she curls inwardly. Fear had won over her instincts, the reporter's voice was merely white noise from there on out. It no longer the voice of reason. The intruders were three bulky men, steadily looking around the room and seeing where Tori had gone and why she hadn't responded.
Within seconds of being spotted, Tori had started to steer clear of the intruders. Although with great fear and the heavyweight of it, she had to run. The one who spotted Tori sprinted towards her direction, grabbing her arm. Tori's body was too thin and small to win this fight against the intruder.
In a moment of desperation, she flailed however she could, shoving and kicking the intruder. The other two had joined and tied her arms behind her back, her legs and knees together with rope. Tori tried to scream now that her voice was back but they gagged her before she could try.
The three intruders had left her body lying on the couch, one of the intruders had left her side to call someone, possibly to check in that they had tied her. His voice was assertive and powerful but didn't leave a note of rudeness. His voice was the only one Tori had heard, the other two were silent during this ordeal. The second one decided to snoop around the room to see if there was anything worth taking, unfortunately for him, Tori didn't have anything worth stealing. The last one had a gentle watch on her. Although unsympathetic of Tori's situation, he kept his curious gaze on her. Tori remained struggling and tried desperately to loosen the binds holding her down.
The first intruder hung up on his call and looked over the other two, giving them a nod, the third intruder had lifted Tori off the couch and steadily followed the first out the door. The second intruder lingered a little longer seeing if he could find some secret cash stash but ended up leaving with disappointment.
They had dropped her into the backseat with the first and third intruder, the second had taken the driver seat and sighed in disappointment. Before driving off into the unknown, they covered her eyes with a blindfold. As soon as the two intruders secured her in the back, the second intruder had decided to begin driving into whatever direction he had intended to go through. Although this would have been a great opportunity for Tori to take note of the direction of where the car was going, Tori thrashed and struggled, hoping to toss one of the two men next to her. One of the two decided to tack her head with the butt end of a knife strong enough to knock her unconscious.
