I had awoken to a bright light shining through my window.
I grabbed my phone and checked the time. 5:47am. I really need to hang up my blackout curtains. I never really understood how it could be so early but so bright at the same time. It's sickening.
I couldn't go back to sleep, I had too much on my mind. So instead I decided to unpack. I wanted to have my room in order before school so I could at least have some peace of mind. I plug my headphones into my phone and start my playlist.

School starts back in a week because everyone is currently on winter break. Which meant I would be starting about half way through the year. great. Another way to for me to stick out. Like a sore thumb.

"Not long. Are you going somewhere? " I notice she was no longer in her night clothes.
"I'm going to the grocery store. I wasn't expecting you to be awake considering how little sleep you got yesterday. Are you okay honey?"
No. "yeah I'm fine. I just woke up a little early and decided to get a head start on my room"
"Well since you're up, why don't you get dress and come with me If you're up to it."
A grocery store, on the weekend, 3 days before Christmas... No thanks. "Do you mind if I sit this trip out?"
"No problem"

A/N: yet another short chapter😞 I am still having trouble with the beginning of the story.... I was thinking of doing a time skip so I didn't have to worry too much about the beginning but I also don't want to rush things... also let me know if you guys would like a time skip... I'm not sure what to do😕 I'm open to suggestions and if guys have anything questions about the story/ clarifications u would like me to make( because I'm a confusing writer, I often get confused at my own work😂) feel free to message me.
