Regret

You hate the scars you gave yourself
And why it appeared in the first place
You hate yourself for falling behind
For finishing last in the race

You regret all the things you did
But one cannot simply turn back time
Back to just your normal life
No blades, no blood, no crime

You've stopped but it still haunts you
Your own words telling you to die
And although most days are happy
There are those days when you will cry

You're still hurting yourself, I can tell
Don't bully yourself, don't regret
Because hating yourself for what you've done
Is like slicing your skin 'till you're dead
