They come to a large dark room with Lucy being extra careful to where she is walking, Ryder walks in behind her followed by the others.
As Lisa walks in with her staff lighting up the room, the light travels from her staff, being leached through the air and into the walls. 'What's this?' Lisa says, watching her staff dim.
The room suddenly lights up with writing shining on the walls. 'More writing?' Jill says. 'Looks different then before... Lisa, any chance you can?'
'I'll give it a shot...' She looks around the empty squire room, only one entrance into it and lit up brightly with the white light from the writing on the walls, leaving no shadows. A patch opposite the entrance is blank. 'This writing is newer then the one written on the door, I might be able to read it. Just give me a minute.'
After a few minutes of Lisa moving around the room, studying the walls, Ethan looks at a blank wall. 'There's only one way in here, you think there's a secret door heading deeper into this place?'
Jill's eyes begin to glow a faint red for a brief moment as she looks at the empty wall. 'Yeah, a secret door just there.' She points at the empty wall.
Ryder laughs. 'I could of told you that...'
'Lisa, any idea what the walls say?' Asked Jill.
'It has similarities to the old language but... it must be in code or a dead language we don't use anymore... like the one on the door, I've never seen anything like this before.' She points at some markings. 'This word keeps coming up, it was the same word I noticed on the door too. Something about demons and interrogation... or investigation and imprisonment? Whatever this place was used for, it's was never its original purpose.' A symbol catches her eye, out of the way and near the entrance to the room. 'This can't be right...'
'What is it?'
'This is the symbol for Ophelia.' Lisa's voice is filled with shock and disbelieve.
'The Unseen Goddess? That Ophelia?' Anthony asks.
'Why is it so surprising? Many old ruins from before the war had that symbol, right? With all the other symbols for the other gods too.' Said Jill.
'That's true but... this symbol is... where it's at, it suggests this was once a temple to Ophelia but was repurposed to be something else...'
'You can't be right. Ophelia never had a temple!'
'I know, if this was once a temple to Ophelia, then... this is big Jill. We have to report this, it could change history as we know it.'
Lucy wonders to Lisa as she stares intently at the symbol on the wall. 'Why is that?' She asks.
'Ophelia only created the Unseen during the darkness war, she had no need for a temple at the time. If this place...' Lisa is cut off by a rumble coming from underneath them, feeling it slightly as the stone shacks.
'Lisa, any idea what this place was being used for?' Asked Jill.
'Demon imprisonment is my best guess, but I can't be sure.'
'Okay, the demon imprisoned here must be our target, must be pretty weak if the risk of keeping it was worth it... we need to keep moving. Can anyone see a way to open that door...?'
The door suddenly starts to open cutting Jill off, a low roar can be heard coming from the other side, coursing everyone to take a defensive stand. 'I don't like the sound of that.' Anthony states with his shield held high and his sword pointing over it.
