Chapter 3

Carlos was still kissing me when we heard the front door open. We both jumped up frightened & Carlos gave me a last peck on the lips & ran out the room

"What just happened?" I asked myself

I slept it off.

The next morning was a Monday. Ugh! How I hate Mondays. I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock ringing. I turned it off & got up.

I took a quick shower & got dressed in White jeans with a black & gray Varsity Jacket.

I walked downstairs & greeted my mom.

"Hey mom"

"Hey sweetheart. How are you doing?"

"Good. Just tired"

"Oh OK. Well did Carlos tell you the news?"

"What news?"

"That he's going to be your new teacher."

"HE'S WHAT?"

"Yeah. I told him to become your teacher at school so you guys can get to know each other better."

"Oh no"

"Oh come on. Give the guy a chance. For me?"

"Fine."

I finished my breakfast & drove to school. I'm already tired of seeing Carlos 3 times a week & now to find out I have to see him EVRYDAY is torture. Its gonna be awkward between us since what happened yesterday.

He did it not me. I feel bad because its he cheated on my mom with her own daughter. He's gotta keep this a secret. She can't find out.

I finally arrived at school & I parked in the parking lot & headed inside to my locker. Once I reached my locker I took out the books I would need for my first 4 classes. Which were English, science, math, & Spanish.

I walked into homeroom only to find out I was early.

I sat at the very back. I never liked the front of the room. The teacher would always call on you & it would get annoying sometimes. After 5 minutes the bell rang & all the kids walked in. Damian the kid I have a crush on sat next to me at the back.

"Hey gorgeous" Damian said

"Hey!" I answered

We kept talking until we heard our voices being called.

"Please Nicole/Damian stop talking"
