Chapter 1

Ashton Irwin, the drummer of the worldwide famous band 5 seconds of summer. He is known as the goofy guy in the band. The one with the giggle, that everyone seemed to love. The one that always makes everyone happy, he was like the sunshine. Always lightning up everyone's mood, but what about him? He wasn't just a ray of sunshine like everyone wanted to believe. No there was more to him than that.

Inside of him was a dark side hidden - Hidden so no one would know about his past. No one could know how much he really suffered, the storm inside of him was one he was going to keep locked away. Only when he was alone he could let the storm of emotions out. He wasn't happy, in fact he was very angry, but no one knew.

No one knew how sad he was, not a single person. He had become too good at hiding his emotions. Ashton Irwin was angry, he was angry at the world, and at the same time he was so sad. Even though he had his bandmates, he felt alone.

He always pretended that everything was fine, he never let anyone in. Not a single soul could know how he really felt. He was afraid that he would be judged if they knew how he really felt. Afraid people would push him away, if they really knew what was going on in his life.

The monster inside of him, was one he wanted to keep hidden forever.

Now he had come out, his bandmates knew what he went through. He had even shared some of his history with the world. But who was the first one he really opened up to? Who was the one that got him to open up in the first place? It was only this year that he had told his bandmates about how he had felt, and how many problems he had struggled with.

So who was the person that helped him, before anyone else was let into his dark side? Who was it? There was so many questions, who was the one that helped him back then? The answer is a girl. She just happened to come at the wrong moment and at the wrong time. Ashton was scared because she was the only one who had seen what happened, the only one who had gotten a glimpse of his not so perfect life. It wasn't on purpose, it just happened. One day she just knocked on the door, and that was the day. The day that someone saw what went on in his life.

But let's rewind time, this was a long time ago. Four years ago to be exact, we're going all the way back to 2014. The year of the first album. The year Ashton for the first time began to open up to someone...

JANUARY THE 17TH. 2014

I was walking down the busy street, it was friday and it was clear that everyone was either out shopping, or was about to go home from work. But i just took my sweet time, i wasn't in a hurry since i had some time before my sister would come and pick me up. She was home for the weekend, which was nice because she was rarely home because of college. Her college was a good four hour drive from here, so that's why she didn't visit home as often.

It was a sunny day so i didn't mind waiting for her, as long as it didn't rain i would be fine. I didn't really know where i was walking, but i could hear music so i walked towards the sound. And what i found was some guys having a dance off in the middle of the street. I loved things like these, i thought it bought life to the world. People were gathering around to look at them, some were filming them, and i could understand why. These guys had some sick moves.

I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket, so i stuck my hand into my pocket and got it out. A text, it didn't really surprise me. It was just my sister Becca, telling me that she would pick me up in 10 minutes. Which also meant i had to go over to the mall to find her. As i was typing a quick reply i bumped into someone. ''Sorry..'' I mumbled, as i removed my gaze from my phone and looked up.

I was met by a pair of hazel eyes, and a rather handsome boy was standing in front of me. ''Well, i wasn't really looking where i was going either..'' He chuckled. His voice was cute i must admit that. But it looked like he was about to make a small talk, and i didn't really have time for that. ''It's fine, and sorry again..'' I said as i began to walk away. I turned my head and looked back as i kept walking, only to see him still standing there, while he looked my way.
