Hey! I just wanted to let you know that I will not show a picture of the characters Makayla or Adana. "Why?" You may ask? Well, I've noticed for me, and other people in the comments on other books that the main character doesn't relate with them enough because of how they may look. For example, in most books about black love the main character would be light with "good hair". What's even considered to be good hair?? I find that to be annoying as ever so I tried not to show pictures of her or her daughter, instead you can imagine yourselves or someone you know. So if you're Asian, Black, African, White, Latinx etc you can see yourself and not someone else that doesn't look like you. Although, on chapter 1 I described Makayla that's for people like me who really can't seem to use too much of their imagination😂 thank you for understanding!
