I stared wide-eyed at August who just stood there smiling.
"You're in love with me?" He nods. "I've tried to deny it because I was scared that you were gone take my heart and run. But I know you not gone do that."
I just stand there staring at him like an idiot.
August Anthony Alsina Jr. is in love with me. It's almost too good to be true.
"So?" he asks nervously. "So what?"
"So, do you feel the same way?"
I smile widely. It's astounding how he can't see what I feel for him. To be honest, before he said anything, I didn't even know I loved him. I thought it was just a really strong crush.
But now that I've heard him say the words to me, I know I feel that way too.
"I love you, August Anthony Alsina Jr." I say, reaching my hand up to touch his cheek.
He smiles then leans down and touches his lips to mine. I moan at finally being able to feel this sensation again.
I can't ask for anything more out of life.
