Chapter 12

Elisa's P. O. V

I woke to the sound of someone knocking at my door. I slowly got up and walked towards the door. I opened it and it was Ashton and Calum. "Hey Elis.... sorry i didn't mean to wake you." He said. "Oh gosh i over slept. Umm come in I'm going to change really quick." I said as they entered and Calum closed the door behind him. I ran upstairs and combed out my hair and put on some jeans, a grey sweater, and some light blue vans. I grabbed my phone and ran down stairs. "Ashton do you think you can carry Honey? She won't move at all. Luke had to carry her to her bed yesterday." I said. "Yea sure." He said. He walked towards Honey and picked her up. We left the house and Ashton walked towards his car and Calum opened the door so Ashton can put Honey in the car. I sat in the back with her and Ashton and Calum were upfront. Ashton drove down to the vet and once we got there Ashton parked the car and came around and grabbed Honey once again. Calum and I exited the car and we all walked towards the building and when we entered I walked towards the front desk. A women about in her 60's sat behind the desk typing on the computer. She looked up and saw me an finished up what she was doing. "Hi how may I help you." She asked. "Umm I called yesterday about having a check up on my dog Honey." I said. "Umm let me see." She said looking back on her computer. "Miss Parks?" She asked. "Yes." I said. "Ok right this way." she said getting up and coming out from behind the counter. Ashton, Calum and I followed her though a long hallway and came to a room #20. You can set her here." The woman said gesturing towards a thin bed up against the wall. Ashton walked towards the bed and set her down. "Elisa, Calum and I will wait in the waiting room." Ashton said. "Ok." I said as they walked back. "Ok Miss Parks I'm Doctor Miller. Now let's see, what made you being her in today?" She asked. "Well yesterday I noticed that she's been really tired. Like she didn't have as much energy and she used to. She was laying on the floor and when my friend came over is when I noticed it, she wouldn't go to her bed when I called her to it. I tried a using a treat but she didn't even move. It worried me even more because she loves those treats. So my friend had to carry her to her bed. I assumed she was just extremely tired so i just let her rest. We left for a couple hours and when I got back I checked on her and she had a fever, she felt warm and she didn't look to good." I explained. "Hmm? Well I'm going to check her to see whats wrong with her ok." She said. "Ok." I said. She listened to her heart and did several tests on her and some took a while. When the she was done she wrote down some things on a clip board. "Umm I'll be right back." She said. I nodded my head and she left the room. She came back about 25 minutes later. "Ok miss Parks she has pyrexia, it's high temperature. The symptoms are high body temperature, weakness, shivering, decreased appetite, rapid heart rate,

decreased body fluids/dehydration,

increased respiratory rate, shock, and

other symptoms depending upon the underlying cause." She said. I nodded head my head but inside I was terrified. "If she gets worse bring her back immediately, and here is some medication for her to take." She said. "Ok. Thank you." I said with the best smile I could put on. She smiled back and handed me some papers. "I'll go get your friends so they can carry her out. The test we had her do really tired her out so she'll sleep for a good while." She said. I nodded my head as she left to go get Calum and Ashton.

"Ready?" Ashton asked once they got to the room. "Yea, lets go." I said. Ashton picked her up and carried her out as Calum and I followed him out of the building into his car. "Thank you guys for taking her." I said. "It's no problem." Calum said. I smiled at him and looked down at Honey who was asleep and her head was on my lap. When we arrived at my house Ashton carried her in and set her on her bed. "I really appreciate you guys for taking me and Honey." I told Ashton. "Really it was nothing. Well Calum and I have to go. Hopefully she'll get better." He said. I nodded my head and once again thanked him. They left and I went into the kitchen made myself a sandwich. When I was done i watched tv and Honey soon woke up. I gave her the medicine that the doctors gave me and I went upstairs and put on some black leggings. I put my hair up in a pony tail and went back down stairs. It was only 6 in the afternoon so I decided to text Luke.

E: hey

L: hey, how'd it go?

E: idk, they said that she had pyrexia. And told me if use gets worse to immediately take her back. So I'm worried.

L: it's ok she'll be ok

E: I hope so. Hey want to come over? I'm bored.

L: yea sure i'll be there in 10 minutes.

E: ok bye

L: bye

As I was waiting for Luke i went into the kitchen and got the ice cream the I hid from my dad. I got a tub of sherbet. I grabbed a spoon and began eating it while watching Tom and Jerry. I heard a knock on the door so I yelled its open. The door opened and I turned my head and it was Luke. "Hey." I said to him and looked back at the tv. "Hey." He said slightly laughing and shaking his head. "What?" I asked. "Nothing." He said but bursted out laughing. "What!" I yelled slightly laughing and standing up and facing him. "Well the first thing i see when I walk in is you eating a tub sherbet and watching Tom and Jerry, and you have some on your nose." He said grabbing a napkins from the kitchen and walking back and wiping the sherbet off my nose. "I like Tom and Jerry along with sherbet, don't judge me." I said giving a funny pout. Luke started laughing and so did I.

Luke's P. O. V

When I entered her house she was on the couch eating a tub of sherbet and watching Tom and Jerry. When she got the sherbet on her nose and kept questioning why I was laughing, it honestly was the cutest thing in the world. When she did a funny pout I died inside. She was so god damn adorable it killed me. I know Michael likes her and there's no way I'm letting him take her. I seriously just want her. But hopefully if she ever picks either one of us we won't hate each other in the end.
