I never knew the dull ache
That would cloud my chest
When I decided to keep you aroundI remember the stabbing pains
Of long nights spent alone
When I pushed you awayMy heart yearns for more
But my mind reminds me
"Take peace in what you have"I think I'll love you always
Even when you do not love me
If only I could do so platonicallyBut I remember us
The long nights filled with warmth
The feeling of contentednessNow I know of longing
Of holding my tongue and killing my heart
Because I'd rather ache for life, then loose you again.
