Y/F/N is Your Friends Name

"Soda!" I yell through the house. I was looking at the invitation to Y/F/N's wedding, sitting on the kitchen counter.

He comes into the room and stands in front of me, hands on my hips. "What?"

I put the invitation down next to me. "Have you ever slow danced before?" We've never done it.

"No."

"Really?" I ask, he nods, uninterested. I jump off the counter and look up at him. "C'mon."

I brought him into the living room and move the coffee table towards the wall. The music to the song L.O.V.E by Frank Sinatra fills the room.

I smile at my boyfriend. "Dance with me."

"Y/N, no ... " He complains.

"No c'mon," I say, "You gotta learn, for Y/F/N's wedding."

"Fine." He says.

I smile brightly at him as I come closer to him. "Okay, put your hands on my waist, like this," I move his hands on my mid section, "and I put my hands around your neck." I did as I said. "Now, we kind of sway to the music. It's real easy."

We dance for a little while in that position. "Relax." I tell him. I rest my head on his chest, inching closer to him.

I love dancing. I don't know why I never have done it with him before. I pick my head up and say, "Ya know Sodapop, I love slow dancing."

"Why?"

"I don't know," I say, "I guess I like being near the other person. It's the ultimate sign of love." I look at him. Wow, he's so handsome. It's mesmerizing. Even in his blue jeans and DX shirt, he drove me wild. His smile brightens up a room in a second, and I can never be mad or sad around him. Just thinking about him when I'm angry or stressed lightens my mood. He's like a happy drug, he always cheers me up. I'm addicted to him. How the hell did I get someone like this?

"Then we should dance for eternity." He whispers. I smile at his comment, and move closer to him once again. I breathe in his scent: hair grease, fabric softener and faint oil. I love it, it drives me crazy. He puts his nose in my hair, and I can feel him smile on my scalp.
