I'd been watching the strange man for a long time, as long as I can remember. he'd been absolute beauty in my eyes, though i never built up enough courage to even utter a single word to him. his eyes were the most beautiful shade of green, and his hair never stayed the same. i think that's what fascinated me most, he was constantly always changing. i remember the shy, anxious boy he used to be, who hide from the world because he hated everything about himself. As the years went on i never thought he could get more attractive, but he always seemed to prove me wrong.

I sat at a small booth, in the little grandparents cafe, sipping a pumpkin làtte. I watched out the window, at the gorgeous scenery. It was autumn, which was my favorite season. it was filled with so many different colors, in all different shades. the weather was chilly, but not cold enough to be considered winter yet. I often found myself sitting here, with a smile etched on my face. i glanced down at my watch, it was only a couple minutes to noon, which meant he'd soon be here.

My eyes lit up when i heard the doorbell ding, and my world walked into the cafe. His hair was a shade of blonde now, he had a small, black jacket pulled against his shivering body, a pair of skinny jeans on his legs, then his tennis shoes. He walked up to the counter, giving the employee a kind smile, before ordering his usual. Most days he'd sit in silence, and enjoy the weather too, but today his phone rang.

"hey, ash.'' he says, his voice raspy, and tired.

the other boy muttered something over the line, that caused Michael to sigh.

''I know, i know. i'll try and find someone as soon as i can.'' he says, a frown etched on his face.

I felt my heart drop in my chest, the thought of him sad, made me feel completely devastated.

''See you.'' he says, dropping the phone back onto his table

He notices me staring almost immediately, and I quickly advert my eyes from his. The angelic sound of a chuckle falls from his plump lips, as I start to hear footsteps approach.

My hand starts to shake, and I hide it under the table so it wouldn't be noticeable. I tried to calm the beating of my heart, as he sat down across from me.

''Hello.'' he says, and my eyes widen just a tad.

Was he talking to me? He couldn't be talking to me.

''Me?" I ask, then curse mentally to myself, I was the only one here.

"Yes, you. i noticed you staring.'' he says, but yet another heartfelt chuckle leaves his lips.

''Y-yeah. I'm sorry, i just-i heard you sounded sad.'' I admit, glancing at the table.

''Oh yeah. i'm okay, just feeling pressured is all.'' He says, resting his head on his hands.

''Mm, what about." I hum, furrowing my eyebrows together.

''My best bud, ash was promised i'd start taking off on my modeling business. I just haven't found a professional photographer. I feel like i'm on a deadline."

my breath hitches in my throat, and I say something absolutely crazy.

"It's your lucky day, because i'm a professional photographer''
