Thomas stood on the beach looking out at the ocean, thinking about all the people that they lost to get here. 'Newt, Alby, Chuck, Teresa, Winston, Zart, and all the others. They deserve to be here too, they deserve to be alive' he thought.
Brenda pov.
Thomas had been distant ever since they had gotten to the paradise, ever since they burned they flat-trans. She had long gotten over her crush on Thomas and she was now one of his closest friends, now since they knew each other so well she could tell he was hurting. He was heartsick. He missed the girl he had loved, right up to the moment she died. She knew that Teresa would want him to be happy. Even though Brenda wasn't particularly fond of Teresa she wanted to give the Thomas a chance at being happy, and give him a chance not to blame himself
Her thoughts were interrupted when she heard shouts around the perimeter of their camp.
"On your knees! Nobody has to get hurt!" a male voice shouted
Gunshots were heard, screams, then...
Silence
