We arrive back at the Hub, which has been rebuilt and transmitting the light again. Garnet beckons Pearl to her side.

"I hope you're ready." She smirked as she held out her hand to the soft spoken gem.

"You know I am." Pearl smirked back. They fuse into Sardonyx again, her orange hue gem- her signature hammer in hand.

"What's this? An encore performance?" Sardonyx smiled as she leaned towards us. "Just couldn't get enough of me, could you?" She bursts out laughing. "What are we waiting for? Let the show begin!"

Steven and I watch in awe as Sardonyx jumps into the air and gets to work. Behind me, I heard Amethyst sigh and watched from the side lines. I looked away from Sardonyx and tapped Steven on the shoulder. We watched her take a few steps away and we followed her. Amethyst flinched when she saw the broken warp pad Sugilite broke when she and Garnet had fused.

"I got carried away..." Amethyst frowned, her eyes glossing up a bit. I placed my hand on her head and ruffled her long white hair. Behind us I could hear Garnet and Pearl unfusing. Steven and I look at the duo and then back at each other. I nodded and he agreed to an unspoken plan.

That same night, Steven, Amethyst, and I rode on Lion and returned back to the Hub.

"Peridot's been back here twice. So the odds are good she'll come back again, right?" Steven theorized, slamming his fist into his palm. "That's when we'll get her!"

"Yeah!" Amethyst cheered, imitating Steven.

"Garnet will be so impressed!" Steven said.

"And then she'll think I'm cool again!" Amethyst gushed, I furrowed my brows at her respondes.

"Garnet does think you're cool... What happened back then was a thing of the moment." I told Amethyst. "She doesn't hold that against you, you know that right?" I asked.

Amethyst was silent but she didn't answer. I sighed but patted her on her back, it was hard for her to not think lowly of herself. We stayed hidden behind some rocks to stake-out the area. Steven sticks a telescope through the ole in the rocks. Steven falsely claimed to spot Peridot but confused her with a cactus.

I sat crossed legged and cleared my mind with my eyes closed. With nothing else to do I thought meditating would pass the time. Steven shows Amethyst a finger trick, she attempts the trick but is annoyed when it doesn't work on her, I chuckled- knowing it was due to her hair covering one of her eyes.

"This is stupid, it doesn't even work." She frowns.

"Try this." Steven said as he moved her hair away from her face.

"Hey, don't mess with my- Ooohh..." Amethyst gasps as she sees the floating sausage finger between her normal fingers. A trick of the eye. I paused when I heard a faint zooming sound in the distance. Looking to my left I see Peridot's pod floating across the ground.

"It's Peridot." I said, pointing behind Steven. He grabs his telescope and watches the pod making its way to the Hub.

"She fixed it somehow?" Steven questioned.

"But I thought we had it!" Amethyst said, a thought came to my mind. One I didn't want to be true, but it's possible it could be.

"We do have it." I confirmed, recalling it was in the temple.

"Did she steal it from the temple?" Steven asked. The escape pod starts using tractor beams to put the pillars back on the Hub. "Woah, she's lifting the pillars guys, and fixing the Hub."
