Steven Universe Reader Insert (Rewrite)

The Hub

"It looks like Peridot somehow repaired the Communication Hub. Well, at least some of it." Pearl said, as she looked off to the side, seeing the fallen pillars that seemed untouched.

"So... we just gotta wreck it up again, right?" Steven asked, smiling at Amethyst. "You guys should form Sugilite!" He shouted. I raised a brow at him and looked over to Garnet. While Amethyst blushed and nervously offered up the idea too.

"No." Garnet said, shutting that idea down real fast.

"But, don't we need to be huge like last time?" Amethyst said. She was shocked at Garnets' rejection. "Right, (Y/n)?" The short gem asked, looking up at me.

"Last time was a disaster wasn't it?" I asked, Garnet answered.

"Sugilite went berserk, it's because of her that we can't even warp here anymore." Garnet said, pointing to the shattered warp pad. Amethyst's eyes widened in embarrassment and nodded, keeping her head down. Garne takes off her visor. "I can be brash, you can be reckless. And we can both get carried away." She puts her visor back on, reflecting Amethyst off of it. "So, for the time being, Sugilite is benched. What we need now is to be careful." The fusion turns to Pearl, and Steven gasps. I smirked. "It's you and me, Pearl. Let's fuse."

Pearl looks astonished as she begins to tear up.

"Don't cry, Pearl." Garnet frowns. Pearl tries to not cry and quivers as she strongly breathes in through her nose, sniffling thickly. "Come on, let's do this."

"I'm right behind you." Pearl sniffed as she followed Garnet. Steven cheers as we walk over to Lion, Amethyst pouts and crosses her arms over her chest.

Pearl's gemstone starts glowing as well as Garnets. Garnet and Pearl then begin to dance, Garnet throws Pearl into the air, and she spins mid-air before falling back down into Garnet's arms. Garnet catches her and they begin fusing together. A pillar of orange light begins to emanate from the Gems' prior position, and a fusion Gem emerges from the light pillar, pulling it apart like curtains, and dissipating it into small lightning dragonflies. Revealing Sardonyx and all her glory.

"Gooooood evening, everybody!" Sardonyx struts over to Lion, Steven, Amethyst and me, doing a twirl. "This is the lovely Sardonyx, coming to you a-live from the soon-to-be-former Communication Hub! How are y'all doing tonight?" She announced.

"Great..." Amethyst rolls her eyes in a sarcastic tone.

"Giant woman!" Steven smiled at the new gem he got to meet. I smiled up at her and waved, happy to see her again.

Sardonyx brings two hands down in front of Steven and me. "Oh my stars!"

Steven and I jump into Sardonyx's hands as she lifts us up to her face. "If it isn't Steven Universe! We finally met." Sardonyx smiled and she turned to me, sending me a gentle smile. "Hello, my sweet little star. Oh how I have missed you." She looks over to Steven. "So, what do you think?" She spins her torso a full 360°. "Was I worth the wait? What am I saying? Of course I was!" She hollers her laugh.

"Wow, you're so articulated!" Steven said with stars in his eyes.

"Well, aren't you the sweetest little charmer! I could literally squish you right now! It would not be hard." She teased as she squeezed him in her other pair of arms. She brings him closer to her face. "Sorry, I'm just so excited to be here. You see, I haven't been myself lately." She laughs at her own joke. She sets us back down next to Amethyst and Lion. Sardonyx then summons Garnet's gauntlets and bumps them together, catching the spear in the middle just as it is falling down. The two weapons combine together and transform into a war hammer, which Sardonyx hoists over her shoulder.
