Poetry can be
Like a tidal wave that just crashes
Onto the beach
Yet surfing the top
Right before it drops
But going back again
For you never want it to stop
Words flowing like water
Across the page
As each line written further engage
With the paper here
And holding each piece
Ever most dear
For it has become quite clear
That this feeling has spread
And lives on constantly
Beyond what is written and said
And penning for days
For the feel of poetry
Is like riding the waves
