we would have stayed up until two in the morning
talking about what our plans were for this new year
but you weren't here
so i did what i do best
went to the nearest bar
and got so drunk
i don't remember much from last night
except that i walked into a tattoo parlor
and woke up with the tattoo

on my wrist
i had to look it up
and soon found out that
it was the longitude of a planet.
