Peridot x Reader (Pt 5)

"That fire was not intentional." Peridot said defensively. (Y/n) bit her lip, deciding to keep to herself as she typed away. Curiously, Peridot hacked into (Y/n)'s phone, reviewing the messages on her holographic screen.

Peridot reviewed the conversation. "So you're human boyfriend is with someone else while with you?" (Y/n) widened her eyes.

"How did you..." she eyed the holographic screen. "You hacked my phone?!" she asked.

"Primitive technology." Peridot reminded her.

"That makes no excuse! That was personal!" She seethed as another text came up. The two of them looked at the phone as Peridot closed her application on her personal screen. "It was just a joke I swear?!" She read out loud, gritting her teeth before dialling his number.

"Human relationships are incredibly useless." Peridot commented as (Y/n) glared.

"Shut it triangle head." She sneered just as coldly as Peridot had been the night before. The phone in her hand began to ring as (Y/n) ran a hand through her hair. Five rings later, he picked up.

"(Y/n)?" a male voice called, "This is all just a very big misunderstanding." He said.

"You're lying." (Y/n) said. "You cheated on me, own up you little...." She looked at Peridot, deciding that excessive swearing would not be good in the long run. "Own up to your mistakes clod." There was a pause.

"Ok, I hung out with another girl." (Y/n) grit her teeth, "You aren't mad are you?' he asked hopefully.

"No, just infuriated." She replied.

"Oh come on (Y/n), not the big words, I don't understand your smartyness." He pouted.

"Shut it." She snapped, Peridot's eyes widened at how menacing (Y/n) could be. "You're not telling me everything, huh? You didn't just hang out with some girl," (Y/n) paused as she entered her coding applications, praying to the universe that her suspicions were false. Alas, (Y/n) was rarely wrong and this time was no exception. She hacked into her supposed boyfriend's phone and reviewed his photos. Nudes, all of them from a girl she didn't know, taken exactly the night before.

"It was just a hang out! I swear!" His voice called. (Y/n) closed the application.

"I don't know what world you live in but "hang out" doesn't refer to... doing "it" with another person on Earth!" (Y/n) screamed.

"You looked at my phone huh?"

"No duh." (Y/n) retorted. "Just leave me alone, don't call again, I hate you." She spat, tears that she hadn't realised were there, were running down her face. She ended the call abruptly before blocking all contact with her now ex.

Tears continued to fall as she wiped them away with the back of her hand. "Your vision spheres are leaking." Peridot observed in surprise. (Y/n) looked at her.

"No damn, I'm crying." She said.

"Why?" Peridot asked confused.

"Why?! My stupid ex-boyfriend just cheated on me with some other girl!" (Y/n) fumed. Her vision blurred as she cried harder, the only thing she could make out in the blurriness was the green blob of Peridot
