Chapter 7

(Pia's POV)

  "Would you like to go to the café with me sometime?"
I felt the blood rushing to my face, and I averted my eyes from her. She did the same.
"A-as in a-a um.. date..?" I shifted in the place I was sitting.
"I mean, it— it doesn't have to be." She looked at me a bit alarmed.
I'd never gone out with a girl before. But there was something about Leah that made me want to agree.
"I—"
"It's okay, if you don't want to."
"Yes". I looked her in the eyes.
"That's alri- - What? Yes!?" I nodded. She had a mixture of shock, confusion, and happiness on her face.
"U-um.. When do you want to meet?" She fiddled around for another piece of paper.
"It doesn't matter really , but a perfect day would be Friday. My dad supposedly has work off and will be able to help my mom. I think 8 would be nice. Is that all ok?"  She wrote everything down.
"Yes it's alright". She did an eye to eye smile and set the pencil down. It's the first time I've really seen her smile like that. It was cute.

   Leah ended up staying for dinner. My family seemed to really like her, and despite her personality she got right along with my brother, Braxton.
   I lay on my bed, talking to Lily on the phone and telling her about all of that. Then I told her about Leah "asking me out".
  "She what?"
  "I know, I was a bit shocked too. I accepted—"
She hung up.
  "Lily?"  I looked at my phone, sighed, and hung up as well.

I hope she's alright.

Wait...
Oh boy I forgot about her little confession.
Here comes the drama.

  I'm sorry this chapter was a bit bad. It's summer for me and I've barely had any motivation to write chapters. Sorry again.
  I won't be taking a break though. I might just update randomly.
