(Pia's POV)
School. Honestly, I've never really liked it. I don't think anybody does really. The new school I'm going to, it starts tomorrow, yippee for me.. I guess it couldn't be all that bad though.
I lie in bed, thinking about all of the possible things that could happen tomorrow at school. It's possible I could get friends right away, But I won't get my hopes up. I wonder if there'll be any cute boys there . I smiled at myself and turned over on my side, eventually falling asleep.
~~~~~~
" PIA, UP UP, LETS GO!! FIRST DAY OF NEW SCHOOL TODAY! HURRY HURRY!"
I pop awake to the sound of my mothers yelling. I rubbed my eyes and looked over at my clock. 9:00. "Shizzle!" I say under my breath and jump out of the bed. My room wasn't fully furnished yet, We've only just moved in two days ago.
I threw on a plain white T-shirt and some jeans, then quickly ran downstairs , finger brushing my hair so it won't look as messy as when I woke up. I put my bag over my shoulder and slid on some sandals, grabbing the car keys.
I hugged my mom goodbye and walked out the door, locking it behind me.
The drive to school wasn't bad, I noticed when we first drove here that the traffic is very calm, and barely ever gets held up. I parked the car in the school parking lot and speed walked my way to the front office.
Behind the desk sat an older lady, wearing a light blue shirt with a white sweater. She defiantly looked like the sweet, caring, grandmother type who always spoils her grandkids with candy.
I walked up to her and she looked up and smiled.
"Hello sweetie, what can I help you with?" She put down the pencil she was writing with.
"Hi, um. My names Pia, er, I'm new here. There's supposed to be a schedule I'm assigned to pick up?" She shuffled around in a drawer near her desk.
"Yes yes, Pia.. Pia.. Ah here you are!" She pulled a file out of the drawer and started flipping through it. Meanwhile, another girl walked into the office. I looked back at her, once she spotted me she turned around and walked back out of the office. Weird.
The lady at the desk pulled a piece of paper out of the folder and handed it to me.
"Here you go dear, your schedule." I smiled, grabbed the paper , and thanked her as she hoped me a great first day.
~~~~~~
I read my schedule as I walked into the school building. Geometry, Physics, ELA, etc.
Now I just have to figure out where they are. My first class, Geometry. Classroom, 301.
I walked around, looking for 301. It felt like forever, but I eventually found it.
I quietly walked into the room, which was already full of students, and sat down near the middle row.
"Hi~!" Said a girl nearby as she walked over and sat in the desk next to me .
"Hello". I smiled and looked at her. She was quite pretty, long, curly blonde hair, brown eyes, and tannish skin.
"I'm Lily~ What's your name?" She's very bubbly. Always nice to have someone like that around.
"Pia. It's nice to meet you."
"It's nice to meet you too, Pia!! That's such a cute name ~"
"Thanks"
"So I'm guessing your new here? I've never seen you around before~ This is such a small town." She was doodling on a sheet of paper now.
"Yeah. Just moved here two days ago" I pulled my hair back into a ponytail.
"Sweet! Hey, I can show you around school and everything, so you know where your classes are."
"Sounds good" I smiled as the teacher walked in. He was a bit plump, and looked quite nice.
I observed the students in the classroom for awhile as he talked. Some students I could tell, had their hair dyed. Some has extra piercings. Some just looked completely normal. I looked at one side and saw someone vaguely familiar. Oh. It's that girl that walked out of the office.
She was sitting at her seat with her elbow on the desk and her chin in her hand, looking bored. I don't blame her. The teacher had a kind of boring voice, but what he had to talk about wasn't all too boring.
~~~~~~
From a lot of people welcoming me, and about, 5 classes, lunch finally rolled around. I was starving. I couldn't get breakfast this morning due to my rushing.
I got a lunch tray and sat at a table with Lily and some of her friends. Which consisted of mostly girls, but there were a few boys.
The food.. was okay. But it wasn't bad either. But I defiantly couldn't eat it all. I gently pushed my tray aside and looked around the cafeteria. Then I saw her again.
I wondered what her name was. Dunno. Does she not like me? Dunno.
Oh well. We'll just have to see how the rest of the day goes. Can't be that bad.
