Chapter 5

I think Leah needs some of this, "bitch repellant" if you ask me.
(Leah's POV)
The next day

I sat in geometry wearing a T-shirt and jeans with my hair up in a messy bun, my jacket hanging on the back of the chair.
I really hate myself at the moment. I made a deal with Pia that I would socialize with her lunch table group thing in order for me to ask her a question. Though.. I was the one that brought up a "deal" in the first place . She just made it a bit more.. bleh.

"Pia.!" I whisper yelled through clenched teeth as I pulled her over.
"Yeeees~?"
"I don't wann- -"
"gasp, Are you scared?" This little...
"What? N-no"
"Yes you are! Leah don't worry, it'll be fine. Come on," she pulled me up from the seat.
"Your sitting with me and Lily today ~"
"Wait.. what? No, I thought the socializing was only gonna be at lunch!"
"Nope~! All day"
"No"
"Yes, come on". I puffed my cheeks out and pouted as she allowed me to grab all of my things.

I sat down between her and Lily and hung my jacket on the back of the seat again.
"Hi, Leah". Lily smiled and looked at me.
"Hey." I sighed out, then smiled. I could tell Pia was smiling too.
  The teacher walked into the classroom, saying a quick 'Good morning' before sitting behind his desk. He folded his hands together after pulling out a pile of papers out from his desk drawer. Oh great just what I need, a test..
     "Today, class, we are going to be starting a project on building a miniature model, of a rollercoaster." He sighed.  No...  "I will assign you to partners once the papers are handed out."   NO..
   He chose two people to hand the stack of papers out to everybody. In the meantime, I sat hiding my face in my hands, with the desk supporting my elbows. Why partners.. plus, the chance of him putting me and Pia together is like, 5%..  I got tuned out of my thoughts when a girl came by and placed a paper on my desk.

    "Leah are you okay?" Pia looked over at me with a mix of question and worry in her voice.

    "Oh, yeah yeah. Yeah I'm great. Nothing to worry about here." I made sure to sprinkle my words with a bit of sarcasm.

    "Leah, I understand you don't want to have anything to do with "partners", but it's part of your grade. Don't you wanna pass?" She stuck out her bottom lip and batted her eyelashes at me.
   "Yeah I guess so.." I sighed and looked away from her and began skimming through the paper that got handed out.

   "Alright class, so here are your partners,"
He began calling two people at a time. Lily got Jax, who I assume she has some sort of feeling toward since I saw her face flush red very quickly.
     "Pia, and Leah".   He turned a page and continued calling out names. 
But the 5% ...
I sat staring at the wall. Was I just that lucky enough to get that 5%?  Maybe..?
What if he's just being nice? No.. it can't be...
     The bell rang and I gathered all my things, then began my way out. Everyone was filing out of the classroom. The teacher smiled over at me and I could've sworn I heard a , "Go get her, Leah."   
    Now I feel like he's a part of some sort of, Leah, Pia, ship fandom or whatever.  I guess I'll be grateful he supports it, I don't know if my mom will though, my aunt might. But my mom tends to be very religious . My dad left us a long time ago, so I don't really have to worry about him caring if I like a girl or not.

Pia and I are going to meet up at her house to begin working on the rollercoaster project . I got dinner ready for my Aunt and my Mom before went any where, along with a note telling them what time I'd be back and where I was.
I started the car and pulled Pia's address up on the gps, and began driving.
The rest of the day didn't go as horribly as I'd thought it would. Interacting with other homosapiens besides Pia for a change was, I'll admit, nice. Some of them didn't talk as much as I normally see them do, but I don't mind that one bit .

I pulled into Pia's driveway after about 5 minutes. I turned the car off and got out, then walked up to the front door and knocked. The house was very cute on the outside, it had a pastel yellow paint and wooden shutters along with the same wood type door.
    Who looked like Pia's mother answered the door.
    "Yes?" She had dark brown hair cut to her shoulders, with a few gray strands here and there.
    "U-um.. I'm Leah, uh, I'm supposed to come over and work on a project with Pia?"
    "Oh yes, come right in dear. Here's a pair of house slippers to put on."   She handed some to me and I accepted them.
    "Thank you." I smiled and slipped my shoes off, then sliding the slippers on. 
    Her mom must've noticed I was looking for Pia, after awhile she said,
    "She's up in the shower, sweetie. Would you like something to drink?" She was in the kitchen pulling different drinks from the fridge. 
     "Yes, please."  I didn't want to be rude.
  She poured me a glass of water and smiled as she handed it to me.
    "There you go." I took it.
   "Thank you."  I drank some and began looking around the house from where I was standing.  There were family pictures above the fireplace, which had been refilled with fresh wood and set alight, filling the house with warmth.
   Pia came down after awhile with an oversized sweatshirt and some comfy shorts, her hair up in a wet bun. I hadn't realized she wore contacts, since now she was wearing round black glasses on the bridge of her nose.
   "Hey, Leah," She smiled . "My rooms this way, c'mon" She motioned me to follow her.
     I hope this goes well.
