Chapter 1:
Shawn's POV:
"UGH," I groan out load. Being the alpha of the most strongest and powerful pack in the U.S without a mate is the worst thing in the whole world. Yeah taking care of the pack and protecting the pack is a hard thing itself but without my mate with me it's even harder. It's easier to have two leaders ruling a pack than only having one leader. Hearing my frustration my beta, Axel, rushes into my office.
"Dude I know how stressed you are about not having a ma-" I cut him off with a loud growl. I didn't like people reminding me I don't have a mate because like I KNOW that already and I don't need people reminding me over and over about it. I mostly despise the people that remind me that have a mate. One of those people happen to be Axel, who just continued talking after my interruption. "Okay! No need to growl. But anyway I know you're stressed about it, but you still need to take care of this pack. If you weren't so frustrated on not finding her, you might have heard that a member of our pack was just sent to the hospital like a half hour ago," Axel finished
I just shrugged my shoulders and said "So? Memebers of the pack go to the hospital all the time. You know that's where they go when they get hurt or terribly sick or giving birth right?" I said with a smirk
He sighed loudly and pinched the bridge of his nose saying,"No shit Captain Obvious. I cut him off again with another growl because he can't treat me with no respect. He might be my bestfriend but I'm still his alpha and he still has to treat me with respect. He bows his head and continues "Sorry, buy yes I do know that," he says with a roll of his eyes and continues, "But they go to the werewolf hospital. David, the one that was hurt, got sent to the human hospital," he finished.
I just sit there with my mouth open feeling my anger rise. I stand out of my chair and yell "WHAT?! HOW THE HELL DID THIS HAPPEN?!" My beta replied saying something about a human seeing him and calling 911. I swear humans are just plain stupid. I quickly grab my phone and drag Axel with me into the car to head to the way to the hospital
