Chapter 33: Ging's Box

"Are you sure?" Asked Killua.

"Yeah" said Gon.

"But he might've left you a clue" said Killua.

"I doubt it, that's what my gut tells me, besides I already told you. Mito-san's my mother" He beamed.

I chuckled. "That's just like you"

"Are you hungry?" Asked Gon, as he stood up. "I'll go grab something" he said.

"Yeah" said Killua.

"Oi! Look! The tape started moving by itself!" I said, getting up.

"What?" Said Gon and ran back to it.

"There's aura around it!" I said.

"It's Nen!" Said Killua. "Nen is rewinding the cassette!"

"Nen? Is he near?" Said Gon looking around.

"No he probably infused it with Nen ten years ago" said Killua.

"So it would start rewinding when it was stopped"

"Why?" Asked Gon.

"Beats me" said Killua.

"Oi now it's recording" I said.

"I get it! He's erasing his voice!" Said Killua. Gon went to try and stop it.

"Damn it!" He said. He ran over and pulled the plug.

"Nothing happened!" I said.

"Sorry Gon, but I'll have to beat it" said Killua punching it.

"It's no use, guys it's Nen, nothing will happen" I said shaking my head. And with that, the aura disappeared.

"It finished" muttered Gon. Killua opened it again and took out the tape.

"Looks like the tape is gone" he said throwing it in the air and catching it.

"Why would he go to all this trouble?" Asked Gon.

"I'm guessing he didn't want to leave any clues" said Killua.

"Clues?" Asked Gon.

"You can extract a lot of information from an audio clip" I said.

"You can determine the speaker's height, weight, gender, age, facial features, chronic diseases and state of mind" said Killua.

"Really?" Said Gon. I nodded.

"From the background noise, you can also determine the location" I said.#

"But he was more concerned about something else" said Killua.

"Something else?" Asked Gon.

"Nen" I said.

"I wouldn't be surprised if there was another Nen user somewhere who could analyse data better than any machine. Someone who would know everything about a person just from hearing their voice" explained Killua.

"Ah I get it" nodded Gon.

"Your dad's a tough nut" I said smirking. They both nodded.

"Well, since the tape's useless now we only have two clues left" said Killua. We looked at the remaining items in the box.

"A ring and a memory card..."muttered Gon.

"I doubt the ring could be helpful" I shrugged.

"But the memory card could be useful" said Killua picking it up.

"Hmm it's smaller than a normal memory card...Do you think it needs a special machine?" Asked Gon.

"Ah you don't know?! This memory card works with the JS" said Killua.
