"Doubtful..." She glared at the boy to her right.
"Aiko," Her stare softens as she looks back up at the tall blond, "Even if this change of genetics has no real threat to your life, we do not have the means to be 100% sure. And, as your Uncle, I shall say this, and attest in your Mother's place. I am positive that if she wanted you to do something this drastic to your life, then she meant it. I knew her well enough to have full faith that she would never tell you to do something like this if she had any doubt something bad would come of it."
Aiko didn't answer. She couldn't. She has nothing to say. Her gaze drifts down to her lap as her thoughts race within her mind.
"None of us want to take this kind of a chance on your life, Aiko," Maou confirms.
Nodding lightly, the girl stands to her feet and swings her bag over her shoulder.
"I would like to go home now..."
"Aiko-"
"Its alright, Hara," she reassures, "I'm just tired, and want to spend the rest of the night thinking about this." She goes to the sink and quickly runs the cloth she has been holding under the faucet for a few seconds.
"And anyway I'll be back tomorrow evening. I promised Ashiya I'd show him how to make Dobin Mushi. Right?" She looks over at the male, and he gives her a small smile and a head nod.
"Correct," she returns the smile and walks over to Chi, who was waiting for her by the door.
"Goodnight all. I promise to take all your words into consideration. See you tomorrow," She gives them all a faint wave and turns out the door.

"Ms. Aiko?"
"Yeah, Chi?"
"Um, I know I don't really know much about Angels and Demons and stuff. But, I think what everyone was saying is right,"
"Chiho-"
"I don't want you to die Ms. Aiko! You are one of my best friends and have helped me on so many occasions. Even if you think you'll be fine, I don't want you to take the chance of there being a possibility of your death when you have the opportunity to avoid it!..."
".........."
"All I'm saying is...well, please considered drinking that Angel Grace stuff..."
"...Alright. I'll consider it."

Aiko plays with the bottle in her hands as she thinks back to the conversation she had with the high schooler not too long ago.
She stands and slowly walks into her bathroom, recounting all her other friends' words of wisdom.
'...I'm being selfish,'
She looks up into the mirror at her reflection.
'They are all worried about me, and I am only thinking about myself...'
She tucks a strand of her duel colored hair behind her ear and lets out a short sigh.
'Even in death, all she wanted to do was protect me. And I am going against it...'
Aiko pulls the cork out of the bottle. The effervescence of the liquid inside escaping through the neck.
'They are right. All of them. Even if there is a small chance I may perish, I do not want to risk it...'
Aiko takes one last look at herself in the mirror and continues watching as she brings the bottle up to her lips.
Before she could down the contents inside, it did it for her.
The Grace floats up and out of the container. Flying into the girl's mouth and nose.
Aiko drops the former vessel of the liquid. It falling into the sink and shattering on impact.
She grips the edges of said sink as she feels a strain in her back. She feels her wings force their way out of her body, and her scales appear on her forearms and neck.
Those scales were short lived though, as she watches before her eyes as every single one of them begin falling off. Her bathroom floor now riddled with the small, black scutes.
Glancing back up at her reflection, she notices her hair stay the same, but her pupils, they sparkled as they shift from the once, iconic demon slits, to a now normal round shape.
Her wings glimmer and shine for a brief moment as their white color become brighter and purer.
Not seconds after, the tension in Aiko's frame releases, and her body relaxes. The grip she held on the sink loosens and she takes in a long, deep breath.
She falls to her knees and stares absentmindedly at the loose scales on the floor in front of her. Taking a moment to contemplate the action that just changed her life...forever.
