"Er Percy wait!" Hagrid exclaimed.

Percy was about to dive in but Hagrid grabbed him and held him up.

"LET ME GO YOU GIANT OAF!" Percy screamed.

"Percy!" Fred and George yelled.

"Look!" Ginny pointed.

There were mermaids swimming, bearing their teeth at Percy. Hagrid set him down carefully.

"I'm sorry, Hagrid," Percy said.

Percy put his face in his hands, as if on cue Cedric got out of the water, swimming to shore with Cho.

"Where is she?" Percy asked him quickly.

"Harry's trying to get her," Cedric said, clearly expecting the question. "The mermaids were eating the hell out of her leg."

Percy, lacking all moral principles, dove into the lake.

"PERCY!" They all screamed.

Percy swam under just as Crum was emerging with Hermione.

"Gabriella!" Harry mouthed to Percy. Harry was trying to untie Grace's rope. He sent a spark at Ron's rope, it quickly broke, Percy put Gabriella and Ron above the water, catching his break and going back under.

Percy pointed to his wrist at Harry, "Time!"

"EXPELLIARMUS!" Harry cried.

The rope wasn't budging, Grace opened her eyes, she was losing breath quickly. Not swimming for her entire life didn't help her with lung capacity.

"Percy!" Harry mouthed, pointing to the mermaids biting at her legs.

"BOMBARDA MAXIMA!" Percy yelled, pointing his wand at them.

"BOMBARDA!" Harry yelled, pointing his wand at the rope.

The rope quickly snapped, a frantic Grace clinging to Percy's coat. When the three of them came up above the water, everyone cheered. Grace put her hand up to acknowledge her aliveness.

"You promised," She cried. "You promised they wouldn't bite me!"

Percy breathed heavily, "Im sorry, I know I promised. I'm sorry, Grace."

Percy carried her to shore, putting her on the ground.

"Move," Madam Pomphrey made her way through the crowd. "Oh my."

"How bad is it?" Grace panicked.

"Well the fact that you aren't dead is a good thing!" She smiled.

Percy looked at Graces leg, it looked like a dog bite... if the dog was a humanoid jealous aquatic creature and was also more than just one dog.

"Oh God..." Percy murmured.

"Is she alright?" Harry came out of the water. "Please tell me she's..."

Everyone was staring at Harry hopelessly. "Can you carry her back to the castle?" Pomphrey asked.

Percy nodded and picked up Grace again, sighing.

"Weasley..." Snape tapped Percy's shoulder, handing him a towel.

"Thank you," Percy smiled, a bit confused.

Snape nodded as a response and walked away.

Grace woke up from a deep sleep, it was either very late at night or very early in the morning. She turned and saw Percy asleep on a wooden chair.

"Grace..." she heard a familiar voice.

"This reminds me of a time... a time when I'd have a Quidditch accident every other day," she laughed.

Dumbledore snickered, "Indeed."

"How did Harry do?" Grace asked.

"Second place," Dumbledore said.

"How are the others? Hermione, Ron, Cho and Gabriella?" She asked.

"Alright..." He said. "Grace... if you don't mind... what exactly happened before... the lake?"

"Um... well... I was with Mad Eye..." She said. "... and I said something and he... I don't remember."

"Do you remember going anywhere else?" Dumbledore asked.

"No... I remember going into the castle to see Harry... and I never saw him," Grace said. "... and then I do see him... but I'm in the middle of a bloody lake!"

Dumbledore nodded, "Thank you."

"Um... professor..." she started.

"Yes?" He asked.

"How is Professor Snape?" She asked.

"Alright... I mean... alright as Professor Snape gets," He said.

"Thanks," Grace laughed.

Dumbledore smiled and left the infirmary.

"Percy..." Grace smiled. "Percy..."

Percy groaned, "Yeah?"

"Wanna come on the bed with me?" She asked.

"Hmmmhmm," he hummed, getting into the bed. "It's too small."

"I know, darling... we'll ask for the Queen sized beds next time..." Grace laughed.

"Don't be smart," he rolled his eyes.

"I love you."

"I love you too."
