Leave your thoughts on how you like the book (aka my baby) so far because I appreciate any outside opinion on it!
This chapter is something I've been revising and reworking for a while, so I hope you enjoy the finished product ❤️

"They have everything, Aiden."

"Are you sure you don't need...I don't know...or that you forgot something? Or maybe we should check out the room-"

"They're alright I think."

"Well, Marley I don't know about that. Maybe there's still some things we should talk about. Man to man, hm?"

When Ian's boyfriend picked up what Aiden was putting down, he looked about ready to piss himself.

Ian came around the corner of the hotel room and back to the doorway, where Marley was attempting to keep Aiden at bay with a hand on his forearm.

They'd been standing here for 10 minutes.

"You know what, I think that's a good idea. Why don't you and my brother check out the pools or something and Dylan and I here will talk."

Marley and Ian locked gazes, feeling each other's pain. Marley finally let go of Aiden's arm and stepped in front of him, crossing her arms. He hasn't stopped glaring at Dylan relentlessly since they met at the airport — and he wasn't stopping now.

"Say goodbye to your brother, Aiden. Now. And let's go back to camp."

"If you think I'm-"

He cut himself off when he finally met her eyes. The next minute or so became an intense stare down as both of them vying for control of the situation — Marley's hazel eyes narrowed in fierceness and his glaring into hers.

It was quiet. Neither of them backed down.

Aiden raised an eyebrow and Marley copied it immediately.

*35 seconds later*

Finally, finally, he broke their stare. He let out a long, drawn-out sigh, his body slumping. Marley smiled in victory before turning around to face Ian and Dylan.

"I'm sure Aiden will want to be back tomorrow. For breakfast maybe?" She asked. Aiden's arm fell over her shoulders.

He was grumbling and grumpy, which made it hard for Marley not to burst into laughter.

Ian's smile was wide as he glanced between them, "No problem at all."

"Expect Marley there too."

"Aiden..."

"Let me win on this one damn thing Spitfire." his voice was tired.

Marley studied Ian carefully as she asked, "Would you prefer him to come alone? Say the word, and I won't intrude."

Dylan wrapped an arm around Ian's waist. They shared a look. It was a silent message between them that nobody outside of the two of them could translate.

"Marley it's no problem at all. I like you, and you seem to keep my explosive brother levelheaded, so that's a plus."

"Ha ha," Aiden growled.

"Well, I guess this is goodnight. See you guys in the morning!" Marley moved her body hoping it would sway his in the same direction.

But he wasn't done.

"Before we go, let me make it clear that I'm getting Ian tested and if there's at all anything on that damn paper it's your ass on the line." Aiden pointed an accusatory finger at Dylan who gulped and nodded fiercely.
