The Kingdom of Highfrost. A thriving pack of the ancient Dire Wolven kind. Cunning, dangerous, and mysteriously entrancing beings that, despite having ruled their frozen homeland first, have been left to nothing but stories and legends over the years.

Their fame and numbers began to dwindle once the wretched creature known as man migrated and decided to settle within the land of the beast.

One season, a heavy handful of fellow Dires were captured and taken away, never to be seen again.

For what, exactly, did those foul beings want with their brethren?

The very answer to their thousand year old question still remains unanswered.

Unbeknownst to these ancient canines, their very genetics were being used to create the first latter day 'Grey wolves' which in turn, over time, had led to the ultimate development of the first handful of northern dog breeds.

But man, to no surprise, was foolish in their ambitions.

Their lack of knowledge and experience led them to believe that their new creations would seek to serve them. To aid in their hunts and become 'man's best friend'. While a few did eventually succeed at this domestication, most did not. These smaller wolves and mixed northern breeds turned on Man and then fled into the arms of the frozen wilderness.

It was there they grouped together and formed the Hollowfell Pack. A band of hybridized canines, fresh out of the oven with an entire land to explore and left with mere stories of their Dire 'ancestors'.

Yet there is one thing they are oblivious to...

The Dire Kingdom of Highfrost still very much exist and are still out there somewhere.

With an ambitious and knowledge-starved pack of new canines spreading rapidly and a hidden, highly reserved Kingdom of preserved ancient blood—
