First Impression..

Dear Diary.

Today being the first day of the year 2019. And also the day I got a hold of my former best friend's number after 4 years is one of the best days of my life. No bloody kidding.

I'm one of the 0.99% of the world's population that still owns a diary. (I got that for special events only though)

Let's get something straight first though. I swear, I mean I use swear words a hell lot that you would have to bear with me. Lol sorry other me. Bye.

Your Lovely Owner.
Amii.

I'm weird and I know.

With a toothy grin I fished out the tiny piece of paper that held everything I needed, squealing as I called the number.

The call ended with the chic not bothering to pick. That annoyed me. BUT remember today's one of my fave days so no sad mood.

After debating with my head whether or not to leave a hundred missed calls or a mature text message I decided to settle on the latter.

Hey B. Please Call Me When You're Free.

-Your secret admirer ;-)

I squealed after I hit send then ran off to Daddy's room. He listens to all my stories. Be it good/bad.

"Dadddddyyy I got Sa'aadah's number," I shrilled with enthusiasm jumping up and down. "You won't believe it!!"

"Oh I'm believing it." His gruff voice reached me from within the room. That was the key for me to barge in and so did I.

"Daddy! I left her a text message oh I can't just can't wait for her reply." I skipped to the mirror checking out my new hairstyle.

Black and Blue large braids that reached my waist were what I saw in the mirror.

As I lay on my bed, grinning from ear to ear waiting for Sa'adah's reply I decided to watch Riverdale on Netflix. Yes, I'm a fan of Veronica plus I'm 23. She reminds me of me alot.

Deeply engrossed in a scene where the girls go gaga over Archie my phone begins to ring. Annoyed at the interruption, I take a glance at its screen and guess what? Sa'adah's contact was flashing deliciously on it.

"Oh My God." I exclaimed diving to take a grip of the thing.

"Hello. Sa'adah Oh my, oh my. I can't believe I finally got your number. Can you like believe it, after 4 years I missed you so much." I rambled on, not bothering to introduce myself because that wasn't needed. She knows my voice a hell lot.

"Hey." A deep manly voice uttered.

I had to check my phone to make certain sure that this was Sa'adah's number.

"Oh. You're not Sa'adah. Wait are you by chance her husband Oh God sorry you had to hear that, I just missed your wife so much it's Amirah her childhood friend I bet she has said quite a lot about me. Nice to meet you but I didn't quite get your name." I sweetly asked and kind of heard him mutter something along the lines of "She rambles" which automatically made my brow arch up in the negative.

"Sorry I think you got the wrong number. I'm not married to any Sa'adah." My mood dropped down completely.

"Wait please this must be a joke. Do you know how I got to get this number? You must be kidding right? This is definitely Sa'adah's number Gosh." I tried to reason with the unyielding man.

"I told you you got the wrong person so if you could just calm do.."

"No. You're in no bloody place to tell me to calm down. Hell no. Did you even," I groaned, "Did you hear what you said? How do you expect me to keep calm when all the miles I went through to get my bestfriend's number is going downhill. That can't even be possible."

"Pampered pompous kids these days.... I can't deal with this." And that was how the prick ended the call.

Pampered? Pompous? Kid? Pampered pompous kid?. The Ox dared to call me a pampered pompous kid? I seethed.

All sorts of insults began jumbling in my head as I struggled to come up with perfect words to suit him.

"You pricky arrogant piece of shit," I vocalised while typing. "You know nothing about me so don't you dare go about calling me stupid unbefitting names. Sent!" I exclaimed throwing the phone on a pillow with a huff.

My day is utterly ruined. Nothing can brighten my mood now. Believe me when I sulk, I sulk hard!

The phone dinged and I hurried to check what the idiot spurt.

I have work to do kiddo.

Kiddo? Even daddy doesn't call me that anymore at all. Who does this idiot thinks he is. I'm a graduate fyi! Well he clearly doesn't know who the bleeding hell he's dealing with.

Jerk. I sent back with an emoji before turning the phone upside down not wanting to further frustrate myself.

I got Sa'aadah's number wrong. I won't be in touch with her.

Reality dawned deep on me.

"Oh My God!" I groaned loudly. Tears began forming in my eyes. This wasn't how I expected my day to be.

With a sob, I clenched my eyes shut and drifted to slumber.

"Madame" A voice made me jolt out of bed. A maid stood before me with a bag in hand. Delivery.

A dream, it was all a dream- A Nightmare. Thank God.

Wasting no time I took the phone number of my best friend that I have and dialled. It was answered at the fourth ring.

"What now?" A husky voice asked making my enthusiasm go extinct.

"Who are you please?" I asked exhaustedly. "I'm looking for Sa'aadah."

"Pampered kid? I thought our convo ended already, why bother me now?" So it wasn't a dream.

And just like that I began sobbing on the phone.

"Drama queen." The man on the other side muttered, cutting the call as he did.

I hugged the bag delivered to me as I cried heavily. Minutes later I was staring at Blood red louboutin heels. I salivated at its sight, shoes are my weakness.

Wait....I never ordered for that.

"Daddy." I mumbled. He must've walked in on me while I was sleeping with tears on my face. That man always knows how to cheer this 23 year old daughter of his.
