"Magbibihis ka pa? Ng ano? Ng maikling dress? Gusto mo bang nababastos ka?" I leaned on her doorframe as I stared at her disapprovingly while she rummaged through her clothes.
"Ayieee. Si Chance, concerned. Thanks though but I can handle myself." She patted me on the back before going to the CR, holding the dress she picked.
Stubborn as always.
"Done?" I asked, the moment she stepped out of the bathroom.
She chuckled, "Excited ka talaga no?"
"Now if you don't want me to end up in jail for hitting guys who can't control their hormones, fix yourself. Your boobs are waving hello to me." I grunted while eyeing her sleeveless black dress and as usual, flaunting her body.
She looked at me as if she didn't get what I said. Then she looked down and tugged at her dress, "Okay lang naman."
"For you, it's okay. But for other guys, absolutely not. I told you, I don't want to end up in jail tonight." I rolled my eyes.
"Why would you end up in jail?"
"For punching every man who will stare at you for more than a second." I retorted and I immediately regretted my words the moment I said them. Why did I sound like a possessive boyfriend? I'm not her boyfriend. She's not mine to begin with.
Eleanor was looking at me weirdly then she smiled, "You're quite possessive. Hindi naman tayo." I looked away.
"I'm just concerned." Now I regretted my words again.
Where did the concern come from? I just knew Eleanor in less than a week yet I am acting like b-ullshit!
No, Chance. You knew Eleanor since you were in grade school. You just didn't talk to her and befriended her until now.
"Wow, thanks for the concern?" She said, unsure. I heaved a sigh, "Tara na."
We went to Valkyrie after that.
***
Valkyrie is a nightclub in BGC, Taguig and it was quite famous. I've been here before when James would often drag me from my office so that I could have 'a social life.' It can accommodate a lot people in the night so you can guess that there's always so many people here.
"You know you can't really find a nice girl in a bar." I said, matter-of-factly while looking around. The night was just starting. The people were just about to get wilder. I suddenly wanted to go home and just watch a show. I turned to Eleanor, whose hand was clinging to my arm while searching at the sea of faces.
"Well, you met me in a bar. And I'm a nice girl, so that's enough proof." I rolled my eyes. She's really so full of herself.
"Who told you you're a nice girl?" I taunted.
She turned to me before cocking her eyebrow, "Like everyone I know? Duh." I ended up laughing. She's really funny. It's been a long while since I've had a good laugh.
"Now, stop laughing. It's true." I stopped. "You have many choices for tonight. Simula na tayo?" She asked.
"I don't really trust your taste." I scoffed. Eleanor gasped before hitting my arm. I winced. Well, that hurts.
"Kung magiging snob ka at masungit, huwag ngayon. We're trying to find you a girl who can be good enough for a stupid jerk like you."
