A Forgotten Love

Early Days

Arcelia's Pov

"Mommy Ashton won't leave me alone he's chasing me." My son Axle said running behind my legs clinging on to them. "He was the one who took my food," Ashton said with a pout. "Both of you leave each other alone and go sit on the couch. We'll watch a movie tonight," I said excitedly. "Axle go get your brother," I called out to him since I was in the kitchen.

He ran up the stairs. I walked over to the pantry to get some snacks. I got out some sour patch kids because my children took after me in the love of them. "Mom he said that he doesn't want to come," Axle said coming back down the stairs.

Allen was always the quiet one who wasn't as playful as these other two. "Ok, I'll go get him, Ashton can you get the snacks and I'll be right back," I said heading to the stairs. Once I got up them I went to his room. I opened his door to find him sitting on the floor in the corner reading a book.

"Hey, Allen you okay?" I asked quietly. He shook his head yes. "Allen I'm your mom I know when somethings wrong so tell me," I said worriedly. "Where's dad?" he asked sadly tears growing in his eyes. I felt so bad because all I told them was that he left. "Um, he's gone right now but I promise he'll come back and when he does I'll tell you first. I said. "Mom that's not the truth and I know it. What did he do to you?" He asked looking at the ground.

Tears pricked at my eyes. He cupped my face with both of his tiny hands and wiped my tears away. "H-he wasn't there for me, you or your brothers. But I don't want you to hate him though." I said sadly. "Whatever he did you're not supposed to cry over it," he said. "I know baby that's why I'm not going to anymore. Do you want to watch the movie with us?" I asked getting up. "Yea but can I sit beside you?" he asked in a whisper. "Of course," I said back in a whisper.

We go down the stairs only to find Ashton and Axle sleep on the couch. I put his favorite movie Wall-e in. We went over to the chase and I sat down while he sat on my lap resting his head on my chest. Halfway into the movie, he was asleep. I went to his room and tucked him in putting a kiss on his cheek. I then got Axle and Ashton and put them to sleep too.

I walked to my room. I layed my head against the wall. I closed my eyes and slid down onto the floor. I cried silently. I want the best for my children but Leo is a complete dick. I heard a knock on the door so I look at the clock.

It's 10:50 who would be here?

I go downstairs and open the door to see Jake and Astrid. My two best friends. I let them in. "Why are ya'll here?" I asked confused. "We have some important news for you," Astrid says seriously. We sat down on the couch. "What is it?" I asked worriedly.

"Your sexy ex-husband is here. In town." Jake said with a grin. "Why are you grinning idiot. She hates him." Astrid said with a frown. "Well she may not like him but that is one handsome man," Jake said. If I didn't stop this now they would keep going on and on. "So where is he now?" I asked cutting off their heated argument. "Oh, he said that he would be here by 11:30," 

We all looked at the clock noticing that it was 11:25.

"Oh shit," 

This was becoming stressful and to be honest I was scared. Would he actually come after I told him not to show up again? Of course he would, he's Leo. My threats never meant anything to him.

My thoughts were interrupted by a knock at the door.

This is the moment. I got so scared. We haven't seen each other in 4 years. I walk over to the door and open it. And there I saw the face that I hated so much. My face went serious and ice cold. I gave him a hard glare. He seemed nervous but still had that stupid smirk on his face.

"What are you doing here?" I asked my tone hard and laced with venom.
