-[Jax POV]-

~(The Night Before)~

"TATSUO!"

When I realized she was going to fall I ran towards her aiming to catch her. But I was too late, she fell backward and hit her head hard.

"Shit! Shit! Shit! Tatsuo! Tatsuo!" I yelled out while shaking her slightly. She didn't respond. I can't just leave. . . I can't. I dropped my bookbag and mart bag in front of the door and carried her. While holding her I looked around for her bed. I finally found it and set her down on it carefully. I stood over her and thought about what to do.

Quickly I lifted her head and ran my fingers through her hair, touching the back of her head. . .No blood. I let out a sigh.

'I can't leave her in that hoodie, she can easily overheat if she's sick' I thought. I lifted her up and lifted the hoodie over her head.

'Wow, she's pretty. . . Argh! Stop! This girl is deadly!' I thought. Besides that, I took off her shoes not wanting her to dirty her bed. My head racing with confusion. I folded her hoodie and put it on a chair and settled her shoes in front of her bed. I sat on another chair and thought.

'I can't leave. . . I don't want to, I want an explanation if she'll even give one to me that is.' I was deep in my thoughts as they drifted away into a deep sleep.

~(The Next Day)~

My eyes shot open and I lifted my head up. I look in front of me and Tatsuo was still asleep.

'Shit' My neck hurts from sleeping uncomfortably and I'm still confused. My stomach rumbles with hunger. I let out a groan as I get up from the chair. I look around not knowing what to do.

'If she wakes up she'll probably be hungry as well' I thought. I Leave her room area and walk out to the main area of the apartment complex. I notice my bookbag and mart bag in front of the door where I left it the night before. I walk towards it and open the mart bag. I take out two Yakisoba ramens I had bought and looked around for the kitchen. I find it and go on the search for a microwave. I open both ramens and pour some water into them. I stick one into the microwave and wait four minutes. I take it out and stick in the other one. I check my phone for the first time since last night and check all of my notifications and social media. I look up. . . 3 minutes and 40 seconds . . . 3 minutes and 35 seconds. . . 3 minutes and 30 sec-

"J-Jax" I hear a croaky voice behind me say. I flinch and almost drop my phone, I turn around.

"You're up." I say in a low voice and try to not act happy. We stay in silence with just the low humming of the microwave in the background.

*Beeep!-Beeep!-Beeep! *

I flinch as the microwave goes off as the second ramen finally finishes cooking. Tatsuo and I, still locked into each other's eyes as I turned back around and take it out. I close the microwave and turn around. She's sat on a stool and looked straight at me. She runs her fingers through her hair and looks away. She opens her mouth to say something but ends up coughing slightly. I realize that she's dehydrated. I turn around and open up a cabinet. I grab a tall glass and fill it up with water from the fridge. With that, I grab a pain reliever that I conveniently had. With that fall I know she's in pain.

"Here." I say to her and pass her the glass along with the small blue pill.

"T-Thank you." She spits out in a broken voice. She places the pill on the back of her tongue and chugs half of the glass.

"W-What are you doing?" She says looking at the ramen behind me. I turn around and grab the ramen and place both of them in front of her.

"Are you hungry?" I ask Curiously.

"Y-Yeah." she says as she looks down at both of the plastic containers full with spicy chicken flavored strings. I remove both of the plastic lids from each container.

"Um. . ." I realize that I never found utensils to eat. She looks up and catches on to my realization. She lifts her arm and points to a drawer. I walk up to it assuming that I would find what I need. I opened it up and saw two pairs of metal chopsticks. I grabbed them and rinsed them and dried them. I turned around and gave her a pair.

"Thank you." She says as she props up her chopsticks in her hand and starts to eat. I looked at her for a minute and start to eat myself. After 5 to 10 minutes we finally finish the ramen and set our chopsticks down. We sit silence for about 5 seconds until I felt the harsh sting of the spice that came from the ramen which I hadn't felt before.

I hear a soft pant from Tatsuo in front of me and I start to pant as the stinging sensation got stronger by the second. I rushed and grabbed the empty glass in front of her and grabbed another one from the cabinet. I quickly filled them up with chill water. I slide it to her and we chug the water almost at the same time. We set the empty cups down and look straight at each other. I left out a chuckle and broke out into laughter. I didn't expect her to laugh but she did.

She chuckled and starting laughing just as hard. Her sharp teeth shining through her crescent-shaped lips. Her bright yellow eyes no longer being seen behind her closed eyelids caused by what I assumed was happiness. I suddenly stopped laughing. I've. . . heard that laugh. I smile as she stops laughing as well. I grab the empty containers and threw them out. I sit in front of her again and fidgeted with my fingers. I continuously shook my leg as we sat in silence.

She opens her mouth to speak and goes off.

"Alright, I know you're expecting an explanation from me which I will give you. So don't speak and I'll explain everything. Just. .listen."

She looks up at me and I nod a comply relieved knowing that I'll finally get to know what has been racing through my mind these last couple hours.

She inhales and deeply exhales.

"Okay, so as I told you last night I do have powers. Now that I've told you this there is something else that I should tell you. . ."

". . .What is it?"

"I'm. . . a dragon." She releases the hesitation and breathes out.

SHE'S A DRAGON ! . . she's a dragon. . . Mentally I tell myself to be surprised. I tell myself that I should be surprised, terrified, confused but. . .I'm not.

"I-I believe you."
