I was making my way to the market. I was running low on what I call 'food'. It was pouring outside and I didn't have cover. I sprinted towards the entrance and dried off once I entered.
I didn't bother to take off my hoodie nor mask since I wouldn't be here for long.
Hoodies, jeans/sweats, boots and/or sneakers was my go-to fashion sense nowadays. There was no point in dressing nice anyway, no one would see.
I walk towards the fast food isle. I never bought anything fancy although I had the money. I grabbed a blue basket and filled it up with ramen, pork buns, some sweets etc..
I could still hear the rain outside.
I grabbed soda and some more candy and turned the isle to see if they had anything else that interested me. Once I did, I saw a man. . . or more like a boy I realized, once I looked at him a second longer.
He wore a black turtleneck sweater, black jeans, converse, and a small black bookbag. He too had a black mask on. [Masks of any color where I live are common to prevent sickness, germs in the workplace etc.] I quickly took my eyes off of him as he glanced over at me.
But his glance turned more into a long stare.
I had forgotten that anyone who hadn't seen me before would be surprised considering I don't go out much and see mostly the same people everyday.
He looked at me for a minute longer and looked away.
I had gotten used to the stares by now though. . . I mean you don't usually see a person with bright yellow eyes, pitch black hair, and jet black freckles, obviously. I found it a bit hard to breathe with my mask on. The humidity was starting to rise in the store. I pulled it down to my chin and kept shifting through the snacks.

الخيال (فانتازيا)I live down an alleyway, dim and full of colors. I stay in my apartment more often than I should, but I have a good reason for it. I'm not a big fan of being known because of my past but mostly because of what I am. Well it doesn't matter anyways, I...
