She let out a deep breath before smiling yet again. I didn't know if I should be afraid already or not. I can't believe I'm entrusting myself to this woman―she's crazy!
"You know what? Ang solusyon sa bitter na umaga ay masarap na breakfast! Tadaa! Nagluto akong pancakes! May butter na yan. Gusto mo pa ba ng maple syrup?" Hinain niya ang pancakes sa harap ko. Fortunately, the pancakes seemed presentable and edible. But Eleanor's still scary.
She was smiling while studying my reaction. Well, I'm grateful that she made breakfast for me. We're not friends, the last time I checked. And I didn't ask her to make breakfast for me so that's nice. I should be thankful for that. But then, she's really weird. She was nagging me then she'll be smiling like a lunatic the next time.
"Are you on drugs?" I blurted out. Her jaw dropped with my question. I fought the urge to laugh at her expression. I can only smirk. Damn, it was priceless. She was very amusing.
"Uy, bat naman ako magdadrugs? Grabe ka naman. Kainin mo na nga lang yan." She pouted. She turned her back from me when she mumbled things I can't comprehend, "Susukuan ko na talaga to eh. Tsk!"
"What were you saying?" I asked. She turned to me smiling widely and I almost thought her jaw would snap from being too stretched as she smiled.
"Nothing. Enjoy ka lang diyan. Maliligo pa ako tapos ihahatid na kita sa bahay niyo." I cocked my eyebrow as I watched her go back to her room. Then I remembered, why should I care about her? I shrugged before eating my breakfast.
I have to admit, she's a good cook. Monique and Nathalia didn't cook for me before because they didn't know how.
Why am I comparing her to them? She's different. I'm not dating her.
When I finished eating, I waited for Eleanor to finish fixing herself. She was wearing a button-down gray polo and black jeans. Her hair was tied into a ponytail.
"Done already?" She asked me before eyeing the kitchen. I nodded then we went out.
"Okay, tara na!" And she's back to being cheerful. I can only heave a sigh as we went to the parking area on the fourth floor.
"Wala ka bang trabaho ngayon?" she asked while driving. I glance at my wristwatch, 8 AM.
"I can go to the office later." I replied. I didn't why am I answering her questions. I always ignore women when they talk nonsense but this woman... she's different.
"Oh, right. Ikaw na nga pala ang CEO." She nodded, as if reminding herself.
"Kailan nga pala magsisimula ang paghahanap mo ng babae?"
"Ayieee, excited na si Chance baby. Haha, hindi ko pa alam. Pero dapat kasama kita, kasi dapat type mo din naman ang babae." I frowned. Do I have preference when it comes to girls?
And what did she called me?
"You called me Chance baby?" I asked, emphasizing the creepy endearment.
"Yeah." She beamed again. She was flaunting her straight white teeth. Is she like this for like 24/7?
