"O-okay! Mananakot ka pa diyan. Teka, pano bang pananagutan? Diba kung babae yung nabuntis, pinakakasalan?"

I smirked, "We'll see about that."

Eleanor stared at me cautiously, as if trying to come up with a back up plan. Thinking about it, parang mas preferred ko na tuloy na masaktan para makita ang ekspresyon ni Eleanor sa gagawin ko kung sakaling 'pananagutan' niya nga ako.

Maybe I can get back at her for ruining my already ruined night. Then she'll learn a lesson: to not pester anyone in a bar. That should do.

"So agree ka sa plan ko?" She smiled when she saw me nod. There's this ridiculous look on her face.

Well, she can be cute when she's smile.

Then that's weird. I just called her a lot of things in less than a day: annoying, conceited, weird, crazy, evil and then cute?

D-amn it Chance, why the hell are you even enumerating the stupid traits of this woman? You're not one to care.

But I kept a straight face. Nakakatuwa naman siya kahit papano. So I turned to her, "Don't tell me, ayaw mo na Eleanor?" I mocked.

Napanguso naman siya, "Okay lang no. May iniisip lang ako. And Kai ang itawag mo sakin, hindi Eleanor. Masyadong pang-manang."

"Eleanor ang gusto ko." I shrugged my shoulders as I finished another glass of scotch.

She made a face, "You're childish."

"I don't care." Ngayon ay bahagya na akong nakangiti. For some reason, my foul mood was replaced with a challenged one. This girl is challenging me. Hindi siya nagpapatalo sa pambabara ko sa kanya.

"Tara na nga." I said as I stood from my seat.

"Anong tara na?" She stared at me as if I'm the lunatic one between the two of us.

"Ihahatid mo pa ako. I'm drunk and I didn't bring my car. Edi mapapaaga ang pananagutan mo sakin if I got into danger and I was hurt. You're still sober naman, diba?"

"Aba't antipatiko! Emotional pain yun hindi physical!!" I kept myself from laughing as I pulled her outside the bar. At least, I'm not alone. For now. This girl is keeping me some company.

She may be annoying but she's kind of amusing. Well, that's ironic. Kailan pa naging amusing ang annoying?

"Did you bring a car?" I asked. My mood was lighter than usual. I don't even know what this girl did to me. She annoyed the hell out of me earlier but now, it felt comfortable to be with her.

"Pasalamat ka mabait ako." She mumbled before making way to a car―her car, most likely. Isang red Ford Ranger 4x4. Nice.

"Panlalaki naman tong kotse mo. Baka sa boyfriend mo to ah." I made a face. Oh wait, I didn't know that. Does she have a boyfriend?

She shook her head, smiling, "Akin to at isa pa, wala akong boyfriend. Kung meron man, kasama na natin siya ngayon." Then I remembered the rest of the stories I hear about her. She's the kind of girl who never took dating or commitments seriously. So most probably, she doesn't have a boyfriend right now.

And she wouldn't be talking to me if she did have one.

Napailing ako sa naisip ko. Why would I even care kung may boyfriend na siya? Dire-diretso na lang ako sa passenger seat at pumikit. She started the engine and drove. I felt sleepy all of a sudden. Tahimik lang kami sa biyahe.

"Uy Chance, san ba kita ihahatid?" She asked some time after while driving. I didn't speak. I just wanted to stay like this for a while.

"Seryoso, tulog ka na agad?" Tinapik niya ng bahagya ang pisngi ko before muttering something under her breath.

"Shit naman. Bwisit talaga to. San na kita dadalhin niyan?" I can really imagine her irritated. I fought the urge to smirk. And maybe, an irritated Eleanor must be a cute sight.
