"Hey," She smirked, "I'm still asking for your permission kaya. Uyyy, excited."
"Just answer me." I kept my face straight.
Eleanor rolled her eyes, "Tss, sungit. Anyway, I'm just doing this dahil hindi ko gusto na makakita ng tao na nagkakaganyan."
"We're not even close." I stated, matter-of-factly. I would've understood if it was James Aldea talking to some sense to me right now. At least, I will get where he's coming from. He's a close friend of mine. But Eleanor? That's weird. And that's just crazy.
Remind me again, why the hell am I talking to this lunatic.
"We can work this out. We can be friends, eventually." She said suggestively. I frowned.
"Look Miss Gonzales, I'm not a charity case. No one is asking for your help so fuck off." I said in my serious, do-not-mess-with-me tone. I was used to this, shutting people off because I knew I don't need them in my life. This is what I've been doing ever since―to save myself from the heartache. And I don't need their sympathies. That's just pathetic. They don't even understand what I'm going through. At the end of the day, they won't care because they have their own problems to carry.
But as I looked at this crazy woman who tries to help even when I didn't ask for it, I don't see any sympathetic expression on her face. Or maybe she's just good at pretending.
I don't know. I don't want to know.
"Tss, maka-fuck off ka diyan. Sino bang nagsabing charity case ka?"
"I don't need your pity."
"Oy hindi ako naaawa sayo!" She rebutted.
"Then what?"
"Nalulungkot lang ako."
"That's almost the same." I was frowning. This girl is weird but I think she's quite amusing.
"Hindi naman ako nalulungkot PARA SAYO. Malungkot lang ako."
"I don't care." She rolled her eyes again.
"Tss. Gusto ko lang namang makatulong." She grinned playfully. I preferred to keep silent. Yes, maybe I shouldn't act snob to her but that doesn't mean I will talk to her like we're friends.
We're not friends.
"Hey, wag ka namang bitter diyan." She was half-pouting as the tapped my shoulder.
"Tss" She's annoying. Very annoying. I think I made a bad choice to go in this bar.
"Okay, please hear me out. Here's the deal. I will set you up with girls, depending on your preference and you'll go out on a date with each one of them. If you like her, then you can date her for as long as you like. You don't need to commit yourself to these women. You just need to unwind and have fun. What do you think?" I shook my head. Why can't she get it that I'm not needing any help or any f-ucking advice? I live my life.
